JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The training specialist will provide technical training and training program administration services to personnel across the Enterprise. Supporting data driven reporting and analysis specific to training program requirements and procedures. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

* Apply current instructional design theory, adult learning theory, and best practices to create effective learning and training opportunities.
* Applies A.D.D.I.E. or other development models as required for all course development projects and maintain course history information.
* Actively solicits feedback on programs and updates as needed; improves, training initiatives to improve training (learning) effectiveness.
* Applies evaluation models (such as Kirkpatrick's model of evaluation) to assure highest level of training effectiveness and analyzes existing training delivery to determine the appropriate method for future delivery.
* Create curricula, training schedules, course assignments, reports in all relevant Learning Management Systems used by the training organization.

SPP is seeking a skilled and motivated Specialist to play a key role in supporting and managing the Transmission Service Studies process. This role is responsible for overseeing various business and technical functions that ensure compliance with the SPP Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT), NAESB, FERC/NERC regulations, and internal policies.
This position requires strong analytical skills, technical judgment, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The Specialist will regularly engage with internal teams, external stakeholders, and policy decision-makers to coordinate study activities, analyze data, and support the integrity and efficiency of SPP's Transmission Services operations.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and review business activities related to Transmission Service Studies, providing guidance on compliance with SPP OATT, NAESB, FERC/NERC, and other regulatory frameworks
Coordinate and administer transmission service requests, study agreements, billing, RFPs, and service/interconnection agreements
Collaborate with SPP staff to use power system analysis tools and software to support technical studies
Assist in the management of the SPP transmission service queue and ensure timely acceptance and processing of study requests
Develop and present clear, data-driven reports for internal and external audiences, including stakeholders and member organizations

To excel as an EL Teacher Mentor/Consultant/Instructional Coach in Arkansas, you will need a diverse set of skills tailored to the needs of English language learners and their educators. A deep understanding of the Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language methodology is critical, as you will guide teachers in effectively preparing students for the ELPT assessment. Proficiency with technology is essential; familiarity with computer-based testing platforms and innovative tools used to engage students in interactive learning scenarios will enhance your coaching effectiveness. Additionally, strong analytical skills will enable you to evaluate student performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement across the four language domains: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
Experience teaching and success as an English as a Second or foreign language teacher
Ability to assist Arkansas classroom teachers in preparing EL students to successfully master the ELPT assessment.
Minimum bachelor's degree in education or teaching certification in Arkansas
Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
Excellent communication skills
May be bilingual or have experience working in multilingual communities
