Responsibilities: Technician responsibilities such as: Can read and understand PCPs Able to understand and execute documentation of work process Set Up Operations and Monitoring Break Down Repairs and Maintenance Performs other related duties as requested or assigned Oversee technicians, and evaluate areas for improvement Develop and implement flushing plans, procedures, and schedules Collaborate with project managers, and production teams Verify all processes are followed Conduct training to technicians as needed Participates in the service repair and maintenance program. Always use proper PPE Qualifications: Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines Attentive to detail and alert always to ensure safety Able to receive, follow and give instructions and communicate with co-workers Ability to safely operate various vehicles and equipment Technical expertise in flushing operations, hydraulic systems, and piping Previous experience, in ship repair, maintenance, or naval operations (5+ years) Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED, B.A., Technical/Vocational trade school, or apprenticeship Working Conditions and Physical Demands: Work is conducted indoors and outdoors frequently exposed to prevailing weather conditions. Work indoor or aboard vessel which may have fumes, chemicals, and heat as well as noise and dust present depending upon the location of work. Safety equipment required. The individual must be able to frequently climb inclined stairways and vertical. Work aboard the vessels can be strenuous and sometimes hazardous. Dynamic, fast-paced outdoor setting with moderate to loud noise levels from production activity in the shipyard. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. This position requires deployment to Sub-Saharan Africa. is subject to contract award Duties and Responsibilities * Provide expert-level curriculum development and training to either the Host Nation, Regional Organization, or International Organization personnel, in one or more specialized disciplines. * Prepare presentations, handouts, and any other required training aids ready before the training takes place and provide all needed hardcopy materials to facilitate training events. * Ensure that all training is contextually relevant and culturally appropriate, and that training incorporates adult learning techniques and best practices to achieve the desired training objectives. * Be prepared to accomplish training activities without logistical support from the Embassy, Host Nation, Regional Organization, or International Organization. * Ensure the trainings shall be provided with the desired end-state of improved Host Nation/Regional or International Organization self-sufficiency to undertake these tasks. * Consult with the U.S. Embassy country team to ensure relevancy on all current U.S. Government policy guidance concerning the Host Nation/Regional or International Organization. * In coordination with PM ensure Contractor Company checks with the Embassy that any members of foreign security forces have successfully passed Leahy vetting before they are allowed to participate in training. * In coordination with PM ensure Contractor Company submit the training agenda/schedule, the training curriculum, a list of training participants, and any requests for policy guidance/clarification for COR approval. * In coordination with PM ensure Contractor is responsible for translating training materials (presentations, handouts, etc.), if appropriate, and for providing all needed hardcopy materials for participants. * Conduct Pre-training assessment and post-training assessment. * In coordination with PM ensure that no later than 14 calendar days after a training has been completed, the Contractor submits a training after-action report that includes the purpose of the training, how the training supports broader foreign assistance objectives, a narrative summary of what happened, the training agenda, a chart of participant information (full name, sex, position, title, unit, unit location, email, phone), a class photo, analysis of pre- and post-training assessments to measure change in individual knowledge in the relevant subject area, lessons learned regarding effective training delivery given the specific country context, a summary of logistics required for the training and how they were provided, and recommendations for future training and/or other engagement with the participants to achieve broader foreign assistance objectives. * Additional deliverables may apply once contract is awarded.
