As a Senior Territory Manager, you will be a team player in growing, developing, and sustaining profitability of a group of agencies in an assigned territory to achieve company goals. You will directly service assigned agencies by providing information, responding to inquiries, and promoting competitive company products and programs. You will also establish and maintain professional agency relationships via agency visits, conferences, regional visits, trade associations and other professional groups. This position will support the Dallas and Eastern Texas territory and report to the VP of Regional Operations.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
In This Role, You Can Expect To:
Act as the primary agency relationship contact to develop agency business plans, evaluate agency performance, liaison between agency and Texas Mutual Insurance Company (TXM) business divisions.Monitor the insurance industry environment, analyze and forecast market trends, gather and report market intelligence including market shifts, compensation rates, pricing, product offerings, etc.Collaborate with management and underwriting to develop, evaluate, and execute both strategic and operational agent/broker business plans.Analyze agency profit and loss information to identify problems and develop plans for improvements; make recommendations for agency tier promotion or demotion.Generate a pipeline of submissions to assist underwriting in solidifying new business opportunities.Provide TXM product training and education.
The Successful Candidate Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field or equivalent education, training, or experience.At least two years' experience for territory manager role; At least five years' experience for senior territory manager role or equivalent education, training, or experience.Knowledge of Underwriting or Marketing and Workers' compensation insurance.Must be willing to travel in-state on a regular basis.Must have and maintain a valid Texas Driver's license.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have:
CPCU, CIC, ARM or other recognized insurance designation.
