The selected candidate will support the Medium Altitude UAS Program Office (MQ-9 Reaper) in providing test interface support between the program office, test centers and the OEM, as required, to facilitate uninterrupted test activity of aircraft research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition and sustainment activities.

Selected candidate shall assist the Program Manager in supporting the establishment of an Integrated Test Team (ITT) that will be responsible for developing the Test & Evaluation (T&E) strategy and guiding the development of integrated test plans.

Assist the Program Manager in preparing and coordinating ITT Charters, Test Concepts, LDTO designation letters, Test and Evaluation Strategy (TES) and Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) as required.

Candidate will assist the Program Manager by providing advisory assistance in the review and coordination of test plans and reports to include providing test representation to AFMC, ACC, AFOTEC, HQ AF/TE, SAF/AT&L, and Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E).

Assist the Program Manager by providing advisory and draft documentation support in preparing test budgets and monitoring test expenditures in the conduct of system level tests.

The selected candidate shall assist the Program Manager by providing draft documentation support preparation of test status briefings for the program office and higher headquarters, as required.
Recommended Skills/Education: Masters degree and 12 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, OR, Bachelors degree and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed. Of those, 5 must be in the DoD.

Position: **Sr. Test Engineer Manager**

Education & Required Experience:

+ Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering

+ 10 years of experience test H/W and test program development.

+ Strong test development and debug skills on Advantest SOC test platform - PS1600/PS9G.

+ Solid experience in test methodology in general, such as DFT, BIST, and familiar test processes such as trimming, OTP, and timing measurements at high speed

+ Knowledge on test planning, test coverage analysis, process for yield and test time optimization

+ Able to lead & guide test development, efficient in working with cross functional team, good at documentation, and proficient in managing project schedule

Preferred Requirements:

+ Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering

+ Familiar with high speed ASIC/SOC devices, especially memory ICs

+ Experience in ATE characterization.

+ Experience with memory test algorithms.

+ Experience with serial interfaces such as JTAG, SMbus, and SPI.

+ Strong experience in vectors generation and conversion. Familiar with vector generation tools such as VTRAN/Velocity, and ability to write vector generation tools.

+ Strong experience in programming in such as C/C++, Perl, python, etc.

As the Flight Test Program Manager, you will have the critical task of ensuring all test operations are completed in a safe and timely manner. In this role, you will be responsible for the process by which we test our systems and uncover deficiencies to inform future improvements. Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders on engineering and global operations teams, strategizing around daily flight operations and tests to maximize efficiency, and pre-flighting and launching aircraft!

Your work will directly improve the reliable availability of medical products for patients at each hospital and health center we currently serve.
You will:

Own flight and other hardware testing to ensure we produce the most reliable and effective version of Matternet's distributed delivery network possible

Lead and manage the test team in identifying bugs in hardware and software, then documenting, notifying responsible persons, and assisting in troubleshooting

Implement and operationalize the system by which engineers submit and prioritize test cards with a distributed risk review system

Develop a training program to teach new test technicians how to execute test flights and other hardware tests

Develop a relationship with cross functional partners and forecasting around testing demand and capacity, streamlining the test process and pace

Ensure that all testing environments and parameters for Part 135 operations are compliant; you will help define how releases of hardware, software and operational processes to Global Operations will differ from US Operations and other highly regulated environments

Develop a testing program within the larger FAA framework

Manage several competing priorities ensuring critical projects remain visible to all stakeholders while maintaining a plan for less urgent matters

Enjoy optimizing and fine-tuning processes while running them daily

Requirements

Experience with Aviation Safety and leading Flight Testing

Experience managing a team

Experience in an autonomous environment where you identify what needs to happen and get it done with very little oversight

Experience in creative problem-solving in an unpredictable and dynamic environment.

Bachelor's degree in a related field

Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills

Experience leading and interacting with cross-functional teams

Required travel between Mountain View HQ and test sites
