What Does A Senior Test Specialist Do At Capital One

* Design, develop and execute complex automated software test plans in order to identify and address user problems and their causes.
* Analyze risk identifiers and develop documentation addressing software defect diagnostics and proposed solutions in the areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
* Design and develop testing processes and direct software application testing, leveraging knowledge of computer science and software development principles and utilizing Agile Methodologies following Acceptance test driven development (ATDD) , implementing tests using Ruby , Gherkin , Cucumber , Restful Web services/apis and other tools, services like Ready Api, SQL ,Oracle Database, Amazon Web services (AWS) and Jenkins CI on Unix/Linux Systems with understanding of Security Frameworks like RSA Access Manager and Forgerock OpenAM, OpenDJ.
* Develop and execute test scenarios, scripts, and procedures for unit, process, function, system integration, and acceptance testing.
* Review testing documentation, develop testing standards, define criteria for testing, analyze test results, and present results to developers and end users.
* Develop software quality engineering procedures and strategies including functional, performance, regression, and roll-back testing scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
* Oversee all aspects of quality testing including process design and standards, effort estimation, resource forecasting and fulfillment, and task and risk management, including functional, performance, regression and roll-back testing.
* Serve as knowledge source for the escalation of complex automated testing application design and development issues and participate as an expert in software redesign process assessing software development projects for quality assurance factors affecting functional requirements and design specifications.
* Provide input to systems and applications developers on testing procedures and requirements, schedules, or potential problems.
* Present complex IT concepts and project metrics to both technical and non-technical audiences

What Does A Senior Test Specialist Do At Tactical Engineering & Analysis Inc.

* Supports the development of Test Plans.
* This includes identifying test objectives, determining methods of evaluation.
* Independently able to decompose test requirements from various TDL systems and interface specifications to test specific capabilities of a system.
* This includes ECP, ICPs and Trouble Report fixes.
* Independently develops complex and system level test cases, test procedure and test scripts.
* Utilizes test management database for test cases and traceability to test requirements.
* In addition to generating mapping from Test Plan, to Test Design to Test Script to Test Case to Requirement.

* Independently supports in the planning and development approach of new systems, new capabilities and functionality of the system.
* This includes grasping new technical concepts and capabilities to support development of test approach.
* Independently generates test architectures required to support the objective of the test.
* This includes identifying the systems, support systems, and Link Communication Equipment required meeting the objective.
* Independently establishes the systems and support systems to address various required test architectures.
* Supports in making unscheduled modifications to systems configuration and test architectures, as required.
* Independently trouble shoots advance testing issues and applies standard trouble shooting techniques to identify the issue.
* Exercises advanced working knowledge of the various test systems and support systems to execute steps needed for the test case/procedures.
* This includes systems such as CDLMS, AEGIS, LMMT, DLTT applications/software, ADSI and MLST3.
* Periodically stands-in as Test Lead to support during testing or small test efforts.
* Utilizes and has a general understanding of common data analysis tools to support the validation, root-cause and trouble shooting of issues observed or documented during testing.
* This includes, but is not limited to DART, WDART, CATS, Varanidae, and MANDRIL.
* Supports in the development of the Quick Look Report and Test Report.
* Independently generates required test reports, which include TORs, DSRs or TRRS forms with little to no rework.
* Supports in the training of junior members of the team.
* Customer Interface Activities:
* Suitable inter-personnel and customer service skills required to interface with corporate customers.
