The Role:Use a range of hand and power tools to assemble and teardown battery modules.Operate assembly equipment including proprietary CAN-based development tools.Set up, instrument and install battery modules with various sensors and equipment in preparation for testing.Work on thermal systems, chillers, valves, plumbing to conduct thermal testing on modules.Monitor software for data, reliability and efficiency for all ongoing testing.Perform electrical testing.Retain confidentiality of testing, procedures and data at all times.Maintain cleanliness of workspace and inventory of related parts.Work with others in a cross functional environment and follow written and verbal instructions.
Qualifications:At least 3 years of experience as a degreed technician (AA or equivalent ASE certification) Excellent attention to detail while following instructions Expert at using hand tools Experience using electrical test equipment such as voltmeter and resistance tester Basic knowledge and proper handling of battery cells and modules Familiarity with the safety aspect of batteries and battery testing Basic knowledge of Excel and Word programs

We're seeking a Test Technician to work from 8am - 5 pm PDT with our dynamic team of engineers, designers, and technicians to fabricate large structures for experimental flight vehicles in Gardnerville, Nevada. The test technician role shall support engineers and scientists who use test data to improve the quality of components, systems, assemblies, and their associated design/manufacturing processes. They should be comfortable conveying findings in a written and verbal manner. They should be flexible to new situations, have high attention to detail, an unbiased approach to tests, and quick thinking in dynamic environments. Basic understanding of foundational mathematics and science required. Familiarity with mechanical design in SOLIDWORKS & data manipulation in Excel, Python, MATLAB, or other software is preferred but not required.

In this role
You will perform a variety of non-routine tasks to ensure production quality standards are met. Performs set-ups, calibration, testing, tuning and troubleshooting of micro-strip circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies, to ensure unit functions according to specifications.

Technicians perform very detailed technician functions associated with back-end manufacturing to produce mission critical products and devices. Attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination and excellent hand dexterity is essential to operate tools and equipment to perform functions such as testing, tuning, troubleshooting and repairing millimeter and microwave frequency components.
