BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as an Instrument and Control Technician/Instrument & Control Technician Sr. at our Leesburg Station in Leesburg, VA. RESPONSIBILITIES
This role installs maintains and troubleshoots instrumentation control circuits and equipment related to natural gas processes such as the compression dehydration measurement transmission and storage of natural gas.
Installation includes mounting wiring connecting testing configuring and programming instruments and devices.
Maintenance includes routine calibration and functional testing of process instruments and devices documentation of calibration data collected during inspections utilizing the instrument inspection monitoring system verification of data communication systems that provide real time process and alarm information to the facility control center.
Troubleshooting includes the utilization of equipment such as a laptop computer multi-meter instrument/device communicator device software documenting process calibrator etc.
Develops and maintains interactive work relationships to accurately and effectively complete job responsibilities.
Directs advises instructs inspects supports and/or assists contractors and employees in the design construction operation and maintenance of assets.
Ensures regulatory and compliance standards are met.
QUALIFICATIONS
Two-year degree with a minimum of one year direct hands-on experience in instrumentation, PLCs and Computer Systems OR a minimum of four years direct hands-on experience in instrumentation, PLCs, and Computer Systems without a two-year degree.
Sr Instrument & Control Technician :
With degree, a minimum of three years direct hands-on experience with instrumentation, PLC's and Computer systems.
Without degree, minimum of seven years direct hands-on experience with instrumentation, PLC's and Computer systems.
Ability to lead project teams, assume project supervisor role and develop action plans.
Knowledge of Natural Gas and Electric Driven Gas Compressors.
Knowledge of Gas and Fire Detection Systems
Knowledge of Emergency Shut Down (ESD) Systems.
Both levels :
Ability to interpret control system software for the purpose of diagnostic troubleshooting.
Ability to pass electrical, electronic, and digital equipment troubleshooting tests.

Position Description
Evans & Chambers is seeking an Engineering Tech Lead for a technical development program supporting the Sponsor's Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM / ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes, and Digital Policy Management. The Engineering Tech Lead supports existing systems and provides guidance to build new technologies.
Responsibilities include:
* Raising risks and issues to the government customer.
* Helping to set priorities for the team.
* Working with team architects on the design of future components and systems.
* Developing new policies and integrating them into an enterprise service.
* Participating in deployment/administration of tools and integration testing.
* Leading a team of database developers, systems engineers, software developers, cyber security engineers, and test engineers who develop custom user interfaces and REST services to manage digital policies, as well as assisting in the installation, deployment, and maintenance of products.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Engineering Test Technician works closely with Manufacturing and Engineers to support and improve manufacturing operations. This includes troubleshooting products, electronic assemblies, equipment and process issues, performing acceptance testing, documenting fixtures, equipment maintenance, and updating process documentation. The Engineering Test Technician will also assist Manufacturing and Engineers with projects through building or procuring test equipment and performing testing, including process validations.
COMPENSATION RANGE: $34.00 - $44.00 / Hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Inspect products and processes for flaws and identifies areas of improvement.
Assist in product design, development, and production.
Sets up, calibrates, and de-bug test set ups.
Assist with test fixture development and documentation.
Assist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root cause.
Responsible for setting up, checking, and correcting operational and experimental electrical machinery, circuitry, and equipment while adhering to pre-established guidelines and engineering specifications.
Maintain proper records related to product development and release

Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in electrical or computer Engineering or equivalent, AND

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within electronic assembly field
Highly skilled with use of common hand tools and internal specialized tooling and fixtures
Capable to translate use of tooling to design concept and developing fixture design
Expertise with various test instruments, including power supplies, voltage and current meters, PNA, VNA
Well-versed in using document forms including assembly, ICD, ATP, MI, schematics
Understand product specifications and applications
Experience with high voltage DC or 3-Phase AC power systems
