Qualifications

St. Anne Institute: St. Anne Institute is a private, not for profit, secular residential & community-based preventive service agency committed to providing the highest level of care & rehabilitation services in the briefest time to children & families throughout NY.


Description of Duties:

St. Anne Institute is currently seeking a dynamic, trauma informed full- time Senior Therapist for the Adult Program located in the Hudson Falls office. The Senior Therapist will provide individual, family therapy and/or group therapy and supervise staff as needed. This position will work to help justice-involved individuals with the goal of preventing future harm and fostering healing.

  • Coordinate the clinical treatment plan and develop comprehensive clinical assessments on assigned individuals and/or families.
  • Serve as the ongoing liaison with community agencies and referral sources.
  • Facilitate case planning on each client and/or family.
  • Work cooperatively with client’s case manager/probation/parole officer and/or outside service providers to coordinate clinical services and resolve issues.
  • Plan and coordinate aftercare services and complete a discharge summary.
  • Coordinate and complete necessary reports and correspondence.
  • Maintain updated assessments and progress notes in the SAI Electronic Health Record.
  • Train to become an employment skill builder and offer workshops/education to designated individuals (i.e. SFI Supervisor Field Instructor training).
  • Train new clinical staff and provide supervisory assistance as needed.
  • Attend weekly individual and team/group supervision and present clinical treatment summaries on client/family.
  • Provide training regarding treatment to clinical/agency staff and/or service providers in a variety of areas (i.e. sexual abuse and sexually offending behaviors).
  • Collaborate with QI and Professional Development staff to inform and expand therapeutic services to juveniles and adults with a wide range of issues.
  • Keep abreast of current trends in clinical treatment, trauma-informed care and evidence-based models through reading, in-service training and conferences.
  • Adhere to NASW, AMHCA, NYS Justice Center and SAI Codes of Conduct/Ethics, and ATSA Guidelines.

Qualifications:

LCSW, LMHC, or other relevant degree and experience working with individuals, families and groups. Experience collaborating with community organizations; ability to work autonomously and with a multi-disciplinary team; ability to work well with collaterals; supervisory ability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Description
To provide assessment, group psychotherapy, individual therapy and case management to acute psychiatric patients in the Behavioral Health Services Outpatient Programs. In addition, to provide leadership to the multidisciplinary team including patient assignment, management of intakes and patient census, primary contact for outside inquiries, coordination of admissions from ECH inpatient BHS, has clinical expertise in specific specialty tracks (e.g., Older Adult, Adolescent, Dual Diagnosis, Addictions etc.). To participate in program development and marketing opportunities.

Qualifications
Licensed PhD/PsyD, licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed professional clinical counselor, or licensed clinical social worker.
A minimum of two (2) years group psychotherapy experience with acute psychiatric adults in an inpatient setting and/or experience with acute adults.
Experience with focused groups, i.e., cognitive therapies, DBT, addictions, couples, family, special interest.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:
Licensed in state of CA: Psychologist, LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.
