This role is responsible for the design execution and visual storytelling of campaigns, content, and experiences - spanning digital, email, social, print, site updates, some packaging, and IRL moments. Under Creative Director, own design execution for all email marketing, including template development, triggered flows, and collaboration on A/B testing and audience segmentation in Klaviyo. Maintain organization of Brandfolder, our internal digital asset management tool, ensuring assets are accessible and clearly structured for cross-functional teams. Manage website design needs in partnership with E-commerce, including asset uploads, cropping, formatting, and pre-launch coordination. Retouch, recolor, and optimize imagery for site, email, and marketing channels. Serve as the creative point person for pre-launch website meetings, asset checklists, and timelines in partnership with Integrated Marketing Director, ensuring all design needs are met. Maintain and uphold brand guidelines, ensuring all work aligns with Counter's visual standards and creative direction. Proactively anticipate creative needs and propose new visual concepts that further the brand's storytelling and evolution. Participate actively in weekly commercial and marketing meetings, maintaining awareness of content usage across channels. Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally within beauty, lifestyle, fashion, or consumer brands. Exceptional portfolio demonstrating strong concepting and execution across static and motion design. Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Fluency in motion graphics, with experience creating short-form animations for social, email, paid media, and digital touchpoints (After Effects or equivalent). Experience designing and deploying emails in Klaviyo. Experience with Shopify backend and asset management is a plus. Basic video editing is a plus. RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT (R&D) ORGANIZATION SUMMARY The Dr.Evidence R&D organization includes software engineers, QA/QC engineers, product management, scrum masters, and business analysts. Position Objectives and Focus The UI/UX Designer will own the end-to-end user experience of our cloud-native SaaS platform built on the PERN (PostgreSQL, Express.js, React, Node.js) stack. The primary objective is to translate complex business workflows into intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling interfaces that drive user adoption, reduce churn, and accelerate feature velocity. Core Focus Areas: User-Centered Product Design: Conduct research, synthesize insights, and iterate designs to solve real customer pain points in B2B workflows. Design System Ownership: Build and maintain a scalable, token-based design system that aligns with React component architecture and enforces consistency across web and future mobile touchpoints. Developer Handoff Excellence: Deliver production-ready assets, interactive prototypes, and detailed specifications that integrate seamlessly with our PERN front-end (React + TypeScript) and backend APIs. Responsibilities Research & Discovery Plan and facilitate user interviews, usability tests, and journey mapping sessions with enterprise customers. Analyze behavioral analytics and support tickets to identify friction points. Collaborate with Product Managers to define MVP scope and success metrics. Interaction & Visual Design Create high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes (Figma), and polished UI mockups for desktop-first responsive layouts. Design data-dense dashboards, configurable forms, and real-time collaboration features native to SaaS workflows. Extend and enforce the PERN-aligned design system (tokens, components, documentation) used by React developers. Developer Collaboration Produce developer-ready specs: component variants, state diagrams, API payload examples, and CSS variable mapping. Participate in sprint planning and design reviews with product and development teams. Conduct design QA on staging builds to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and accessible contrast/keyboard navigation. Iteration & Metrics Launch A/B tests for key flows (onboarding, upgrade CTA) and measure NPS, task completion rates, and time-on-task. Maintain a rapid iteration loop: prototype → user test → ship → measure → refine. Qualifications Required 3+ years of UI/UX design experience shipping B2B SaaS or complex web applications. Expert proficiency in Figma (auto-layout, variants, dev mode handoff) and familiarity with component-driven workflows. Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process: research artifacts, wireframes, high-fidelity mocks, and shipped outcomes with measurable impact. Deep understanding of React-specific constraints (conditional rendering, loading states, error boundaries) and ability to design within them. Proficiency in accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA), semantic HTML, and ARIA patterns. Experience designing token-based design systems that map directly to CSS variables and Tailwind/TSS utilities. Preferred Hands-on experience with TypeScript, Storybook, or Chromatic for component documentation. Familiarity with PostgreSQL data models and REST/GraphQL API response shapes to design efficient table and form interactions. Motion design skills for micro-interactions (Framer Motion, CSS animations) that enhance perceived performance. Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent professional experience. Contributed to open-source React component libraries. Experience with design tokens automation (Style Dictionary, Theo). Remote pair-designing with distributed engineering teams
