This role in summary
As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will lead efforts to understand emerging trends, seek out real-life insights, and apply these learnings to design solutions that will impact the next generation of home appliances. This role may require international and domestic travel to collaborate with global design studios, attend workshops, conduct research, and participate in project reviews. The frequency of travel will vary based on project needs and business priorities.
Your responsibilities will include
* Coordinate development and execution of design solutions for production through multiple cultural and business environments (English and Mandarin Chinese)
* Create assets ranging from conceptual sketches, CAD models, physical prototypes, and high quality renderings/animations to communicate design intent.
* Work with a variety of process partners to gain an understanding of marketing strategies, manufacturing requirements, and engineering constraints.
* Grow an understanding of our design strategies and philosophies by working with cross-functional design leads.
* Work with design specialists in graphic design, CMF, UI/UX, usability, and craftsmanship to create fully immersive experiences.
Minimum requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from an accredited school
* 5+ years of professional designexperience
* 3D Computer modeling skills
* Strong project management and planning skills
* Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required, with the ability to effectively communicate across cultural and business environments. Mandarin speaking is a plus.
* Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate communication across different disciplines
* Strong decision-making abilities and self-motivation
* Strong visual communication skills
* Mentor and develop junior designers

As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will lead efforts to understand emerging trends, seek out real-life insights, and apply these learnings to design solutions that will impact the next generation of home appliances. **Your responsibilities will include**
+ Coordinate development and execution of design solutions for production through multiple cultural and business environments (English and Mandarin Chinese)
+ Create assets ranging from conceptual sketches, CAD models, physical prototypes, and high quality renderings/animations to communicate design intent.

Lead the design process for up-fitted vehicles, including sketching, prototyping, and 3D modeling.

**Your responsibilities will include**
As an Associate UX Designer, you'll play a key role in shaping the userexperience for our products. You'll be responsible for conducting research, designing data-driven experiences, and collaborating cross-functionally across projects.
+ Create compelling digital experiences: Participate in the design and development of intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for Whirlpool's connected home appliances and services.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with visual designers, motion designers, engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and co-create innovative solutions.
