POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sr. Systems Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining CIFC's core infrastructure systems to ensure high availability, security, and scalability. Reporting to the Co-Heads of Infrastructure, this individual will work closely with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to support business operations and strategic initiatives. The role requires 4 days per week in the office (subject to change) and demands a proactive, detail-oriented professional with deep technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure leveraging Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
Administer and optimize on-premises and cloud environments for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Ensure security compliance through identity management, patching, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Develop automation scripts and workflows using PowerShell to streamline operational tasks.
Monitor system performance, configure alerts, and respond promptly to incidents to minimize downtime.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
Advanced Certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMWare Cisco, Citrix, etc.) are strongly preferred
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Office 365 Administration, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and virtualization technologies (Azure/Hyper-V).
Preferred experience (is a plus) with Microsoft Defender, Azure Sentinel, MSSQL management, enterprise firewalls, Azure DevOps management, Kubernetes management

A day in the life…
Collaborate independently with Business users, analysts and systems integration & development engineers to understand why an application, system or solution is needed and how it must function - then design, develop, maintain and support those IT Solutions, particularly in the process areas of warehouse management and order fulfillment.
Build and Maintain system specifications, architecture diagrams and flow charts, which detail programming logic, decision trees/branching and data architecture.

Qualifications for the Position
A four-year college degree is required, preferably with a major/minor in Software Engineering, or within a related Technology, Engineering or Operations discipline.

2. At least 5 years of experience working as a build master for Java/JEE based projects
3. Proven experience with:
a. Using Maven for building and deploying multiple JEE projects and managing JAR versions
b. Using SVN as a source code control tool - Creating Branches, Merging etc
c. Apache httpd/Apache Tomcat/JBoss installation, setup, configuration and writing deployment scripts
d. Jenkins and/or Hudson installation, setup, configuration
e. Code Quality analysis tools like SonarCube or Cobertura and Jenkins integration
4. Experience in managing various development environments for builds and deployments.
5. Experience working with a relational database like Oracle and writing basic SQLs to manage data.
6. Having a good java programming background and experience in JEE technologies like Spring, Hibernate, JPA is a very big plus.
7. Exposure to SSO products like OAM/OIM is a big plus.
