Seoul Foreign School history
Seoul Foreign School company history timeline
Seoul Foreign School was founded in 1912, by Christian missionaries to Korea, with one class of 18 students.

In 1973, Seoul International School was issued the first ever Letter of Authorization (pictured on the right) by the Korean Government to a foreign school.

1977 - First Graduating Class
The school was first accredited in 1979 by The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) for a six-year term.
In 1981, the present eight acre site was selected and a unique 150,000 square foot Korean inspired building design was chosen for the school.

In 1997, in response to increased enrollment, the Annex building was constructed on site to house the school's growing elementary school.

The Middle School band performed to benefit Dongdaewon in 2015.
The current SFS High School building opens in 2018.
A group of student volunteers assisted with the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
In the summer of 2019, the school invested heavily in remodeling the secondary library, atrium, and network infrastructure.
