In 1979 the company changed its name to SEPCO Industries, Inc.
Steve realized the potential of solar and began his career in the industry in 1979.
Strategic growth in the 1980’s and beyond
By 1981 he had been involved in his first patent work and also his first solar electric project.
In 1986 the company had revenues of $20 million and around 50 employees.
By 1992, Steve had patented the first solar street light and solar bus stop lighting system.
Steven R. Robbins founded SEPCO - Solar Electric Power Company in 1994 and still plays an active role.
(SEPCO) was established in 1997 under the chairmanship of Royal Highness Prince Khalid Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, to be the first integrated environmental company to offer a package of environmental services to the environment and society.
1998 The opening of the first medical waste treatment plant in the Middle East in Jeddah .
1999 Project of national program for the safe disposal of hazardous medical waste
2001 The First Saudi company to get 3 international certificates of quality.
2006 Establishment of integrated environmental treatment plants in the Gulf and North Africa.
2007 Environment and Development Magazine was published as part of the company’s activities in the field of environmental awareness raising.
2011 The inauguration of the Integrated Industrial Environmental Treatment Complex in Rabigh Governorate on an area of 500,000 square meters, as an integrated environmental park for the treatment of hazardous industrial waste from industrial establishments.
2013 Golden sponsorship of a green message project (Bida by hand) to celebrate the entry of Saudi Arabia Guinness World Encyclopedia in the largest environmental panel in the world.
With ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification, SEPCO supplies these markets through an extensive worldwide network of authorized distributors in over 30 different countries.
