Job Duties Review medical records to determine appropriateness of admissions, procedures and necessity of continued hospital stay according to CMS guidelines. Initiate admission and concurrent medical record review on Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance beneficiaries. Ensure all required admissions documents are obtained. Identify patients requiring pre-admission and continued stay authorizations, in compliance with third party payer requirements, and obtains authorizations required for reimbursement. Review medical records on a continuing basis to identify the need for on-gong hospitalization. Collaborates with all interdisciplinary staff to evaluate clinical data. Ensure a timely review for all identified third party reimbursement cases. For billing and hospitalization utilization review purposes, the reviewer will identify and certify the acute hospital length of stay authorized for each case. Initiate and maintain medical records for new patients in the electronic medical record program. Contact for referral sources. Respond to requests for medical records and reports. Coordinate orderly admission process for patients. Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team members during discharge planning. Act as the electronic medical record administrator. Maintain compliancy with regulation changes affecting utilization management. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree required. Active RN License from an accredited nursing school Minimum three to five year's related experience, preferably in the behavioral health field. Lead treatment team meetings and be prepared to lead the review of the adolescent's overall progress on the individual service plan. Position Overview We have an immediate opening for a licensed Therapist who will provide therapeutic services to patients in our 20-bed Acute unit. Position Duties Assess the needs and understand the feelings and temperament of patients. Ability to conduct individual and group therapeutic art/recreational sessions in a safe and therapeutic environment. Collaborate with inter-disciplinary teams to plan and implement a patient's therapeutic goals and objectives. Assists in performing functional assessments of behaviors by gathering data relative to the conditions under which target behaviors occur. Supports the inter-disciplinary teams in carrying out activities and behavioral interventions, as scheduled. Attend treatment team meetings and report on progress of patients. Responsible for ensuring interventions are held at the frequency documented on the ISP, unless clinically indicated otherwise. Assists in developing intervention strategies that reinforce correct behaviors. Responsible for timely completing assessments, progress notes and other required documentation within company and agency policies and guidelines. Ability to comprehend and demonstrate an understanding of the developmental milestones of children. Ensures the patient's confidentiality is maintained according to the policies and procedures of the facility and the regulatory agencies. Ability to identify and maintain appropriate therapeutic boundaries with patients. Responsible for complying with all applicable requirements within scope of practice. Maintain art therapy space and materials. Attends job specific meetings and/or training as scheduled. Position Requirements Minimum of master's degree in Art Therapy.
