The bulk of this training is conducted through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA, and the Army Civilian Police Academy at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Mission Essential: This position has been designated as a Mission Essential position (e.g., snow emergency days, holidays, increased security periods, national emergency). Physical Demands: The work requires extended periods of physical exertion derived from such activities as running, walking, standing, bending or driving and occasionally lifting, pushing and/or carrying items weighing 50 pounds or more. Requires stamina, physical agility and dexterity and the strength to pursue, apprehend or detain. The incumbent may be required to push or drag heavy weights of 150 pounds or more. The incumbent is required to exemplify the physical characteristic of agility in the performance of his/her duties. DoD and DLA regulations require at a minimum an initial and annual physical fitness test. Summary Description: Ohio Christian University is seeking a full-time Campus Safety Officer to provide for the security of academic, residential and administrative buildings. Be proactive, have excellent customer service skills, and a strong human relations skills with the ability to interact positively with a diverse university population, and team oriented.

High school diploma or G.E.D.; must have valid driver's license for positions assigned to transportation section &/or requires commercial driver's license to drive vehicles qualifying as commercial.
