The Correctional Officer Trainee position, for a period not to exceed three months, will receive formalized and on-the-job training in security and custodial duties for IDOC. Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to be physically fit at the level required at screening prior to arrival at the Training Academy. Upon successful completion of Pre-service Security Training, IDOC cadets will participate in a formal ceremony at the academy and cadets are awarded certificates and badges and sworn to the Oath of Office.

Job Responsibilities
Receives eight weeks of formalized pre-service security training at the Illinois Corrections Training Academy including firearms training due to requirements mandating qualification.
Receives on-the-job training under immediate supervision of a qualified correctional employee.
Assigned each work week to another correctional employee to assist in running lines, yard, dining room, housing units, facility buildings, writs, observing individuals in custody, perimeter patrol, armory, counting, shakedowns, movement, etc.
Travels by using a state issued vehicle to complete assignments.
Receives one week orientation at facility.
Given formal training in housing unit work, report writing, out-count work, yard work, running lines, individuals in custody at this institution and their assignments, chain-of-command, security buildings, disciplinary procedures, and any other training deemed necessary.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school.
Requires elementary knowledge of resident behavior problems.
Conditions of Employment
Requires completion of a pre-service security training course during trainee period.
Requires successful completion of a firearms training course and learn the proper use of firearms during trainee period.
Requires a valid appropriate driver's license and the ability to travel statewide.
Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of the position held, is prohibited.

We are hiring a professional and reliable Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of your assigned post. This role involves maintaining a visible, professional presence; responding to incidents; and ensuring the safety of clients, staff, and the public.

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities may vary by post and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), but generally include:
Monitor property activity, manage access control, conduct patrols, respond to incidents, emergencies, or evacuations as needed.
Apply de-escalation techniques and sound judgement in challenging situations.
Utilize QR/NFC systems to verify patrols, monitor CCTV footage, and document incidents through approved security reporting tools. Maintain clear, detailed, and professional incident and activity reports in accordance with company and client standards.
Communicate effectively with clients, the public, and supervisors.
Follow all site-specific SOPs, company policies, local laws and regulations, maintaining strict confidentiality regarding site-related activities.
Use technology efficiently (smartphones, reporting tools, scheduling software).
Represent Precision Security Team with professionalism, integrity, and accountability always.

Overview
This position is committed to providing World Class Service for all Ford Wyoming Center arena events. The Event Security position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security for all events. Special security assignments may be available during non-event days/nights. The security team is a provider of direct service to our guests and must always exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor.
This is a seasonal role from October 14, 2025 and will end on February 14, 2025.
This role pays an hourly rate of $13.00-$14.00.

Responsibilities
Respond to requests for assistance from staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.)
Performs all event and non-event security duties as assigned.
Admits building staff, suppliers, contractors, visitors, and guests to the facility according to established security procedures.
Answers information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed.
Protects Arena equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule.
Provides regular security functions within the Arena and related areas, prior to, during and after all events.
Responsible for clean, neat appearance.
Assist with restricting guest access to restricted locations depending on the event.
Assist with crowd control and safety during concerts and large events.
When requested, provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the facility.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Event Managers and/or Manager On Duty.
Qualifications
Prior security experience preferred, but not required.
Able to work events as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends and select holidays, is required.
