Serra Automotive company history timeline

1973

In 1973, founder Albert M. Serra began with a single Chevy store and a simple customer first philosophy.

1985

He came to the Al Serra Auto Plaza in 1985 where he acquired a sales position.

1986

Cyd Sterba graduated from Baker College in 1986 with an Associate's Degree in Business.

1993

Heather Lozano began her career in the auto industry in 1993 as a High School Co-Op Student.

1997

He was elevated to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 1997.

2000

In January of 2000, Joe returned back to Michigan and purchased Serra Automotive from his father and several other shareholders.

Will Kelley joined Al Serra Auto Plaza in 2000 as a part-time IT assistant while pursuing a Computer Information Systems degree at U of M Flint.

2002

In addition to his wide range of experience and education, Dave has received his Masters in Taxation from Walsh College in 2002 and is an enrolled agent with the Internal Revenue Service.

2004

Ron Haggin joined Serra Automotive in 2004 with nearly two decades of experience in the automotive industry under his belt.

2011

Matt Serra began his career in 2011 after graduating with a business degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

2012

After taking some time off to raise her family, Lynn returned to Serra Automotive in 2012, where she continues her career in her current position.

2018

He is a board member of McLaren Health Care Corporation (January 2018 to present) and a proud supporter of Orchards Children's Services.

2022

In addition to his role at the Auto Plaza, Matt joined the Serra Automotive team in 2022.Matt is a passionate leader, focused on helping his associates reach their goals and dreams.
