The General Utility Worker - Dining Room Attendant is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team, responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment for all guests. This role supports front-of-house (FOH) dining operations by ensuring stations are properly set up before service, maintained throughout meal periods, and thoroughly cleaned and restocked at the end of each shift. The attendant is expected to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and guest service in alignment with hotel and conference center policies.
Job Responsibilities
* Dining Room Setup & Maintenance
o Prepare and maintain FOH stations, including tables, chairs, condiments, and water service.
o Ensure all areas are clean, sanitized, and visually appealing before, during, and after service.
o Monitor and replenish supplies such as condiments, napkins, and water pitchers.
* Guest Service & Conduct
o Greeting guests warmly and ensure their dining experience is pleasant and comfortable.
o Always maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
o Adhere to conduct policies, including respectful communication and behavior.
* Cleaning & Sanitation
o Regularly clean and sanitize tables, chairs, floors, counters, and equipment.
o Manage breakdown stations by collecting and transporting used dishware and glassware to the dish room.
o Ensure proper disposal of waste and maintain cleanliness in all FOH areas, including the breakroom.
* Compliance & Safety
o Follow uniform and grooming standards, including wearing non-slip shoes and proper attire.
o Comply with food safety and sanitation guidelines, including maintaining sanitizer buckets at stations.
o Take scheduled breaks as assigned and log break times accurately.
* End-of-Shift Duties
o Complete closing tasks including restocking, deep cleaning, and organizing stations.
o Ensure all equipment and supplies are returned to designated areas.
Receive checkout approval from a supervisor or lead before leaving the shift.

Must follow all details as described on Banquet Event Orders (BEO's).
Must be able to set tables to specifications, carry trays, and have excellent customer service experience.
Complete banquet consumption sheets as designated by the Banquet Captain and Manager.
Attend department meetings and other company required trainings.
Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Previous serving and guest service experience required, four-star/four-diamond hotel or resort banquet experience is strongly preferred.
Must have and maintain current TIPS, ServSafe or equivalent alcohol training
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings.
Must agree and adhere to compensation acknowledgment and tip reporting guidelines.
Must have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and portray a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
Must consistently demonstrate a teamwork-oriented and positive attitude.
Must live within 50 miles of the hotel.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand and walk for the duration of a full shift.
Must be able to walk, push, pull, stoop, bend and lift items of moderate weight.
