Food Runner Summary of Responsibilities A food runner is responsible for promptly delivering food from the kitchen to guests, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. They assist servers by refilling drinks, clearing plates, and responding to guest needs while keeping service areas clean and organized. Strong communication between the kitchen and front-of-house is essential, along with maintaining a polite, professional demeanor and following all safety and sanitation guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized dining area by clearing and resetting tables efficiently. Collaborate with bartenders, kitchen staff, and the counter team for smooth, coordinated service. Restock service stations, polish glassware and utensils, and ensure supplies are ready before and during shifts. Follow established service, safety, and cleanliness standards to protect guests and the team. Share your knowledge with new team members and help create a positive, cooperative atmosphere.
