Responsibilities:
* Responsible for providing guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience.
* Efficiently set-up and break-down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including setting tables, arranging linen, silverware, china and glassware.
* Cater to all culinary requests in an efficient manner.

Qualifications:

All shipboard employees also have emergency and safety functions essential to the safe operation of the ship that are included in your training.

The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is seeking a guest-focused Banquet Server to join the team of this brand new upscale hotel. This team member will ensures that all food and beverage service for functions in the banquet department of the hotel are served on time and that all of Omni's professional standards are upheld.
Responsibilities
Perform all Banquet side work as designated by the Banquet Captain and/or Banquet Managers.
Efficiently and properly perform all service standards.
Maintain overall presentation of banquet functions with attention to detail by ensuring that linens and chairs are clean and straight; floors, walls, and windows are clean; light bulbs are not burnt out; centerpieces are fresh (if applicable) and polished; condiments are clean and full according to standards.
Attend to all needs of the guests during functions and function related duties.
Report to the Banquet Manager any need for housekeeping and/or repairs of and banquet equipment.
Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
Must attend all designated pre-meal meetings.
Must follow all details as described on Banquet Event Orders (BEO's).
Must be able to set tables to specifications, carry trays, and have excellent customer service experience.
Complete banquet consumption sheets as designated by the Banquet Captain and Manager.
Attend department meetings and other company required trainings.
Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Previous serving and guest service experience required, four-star/four-diamond hotel or resort banquet experience is strongly preferred.
Must have and maintain current TIPS, ServSafe or equivalent alcohol training
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings.
Must agree and adhere to compensation acknowledgment and tip reporting guidelines.
Must have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and portray a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
Must consistently demonstrate a teamwork-oriented and positive attitude.
Must live within 50 miles of the hotel.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand and walk for the duration of a full shift.
Must be able to walk, push, pull, stoop, bend and lift items of moderate weight.

Some tasks in the regular day to day in this position include, but are not limited to:
Checking Banquet Event Orders to determine function, number of guests and type of bar and event (house, premium, cash, open, etc.)
Setting up banquet bar as instructed by Supervisor to include linen, service ware, and glassware.
Attending roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest and hotel expectations.
Serving the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet. Promptly remove dishes as guests complete watch course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.
Setting up portable bar in function area according to standard policies and procedures.
Making and serving drinks to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner following established guidelines, policies and procedures regarding beverages and safety controls are prescribed by the company, the state and the hotel.
Abiding by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
Removing all trash and liquor glasses from tables, tablecloths, trash and liquor from function area. Returning the bar to storeroom.
Breakdown, cleaning the bar thoroughly; wiping the surface areas and empty water in portable bar. Returning all equipment and supplies to proper area.
Once the banquet is complete, resetting banquet room according to Captain's specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for the following function.
