Inspects bar area prior to opening and ensures that adequate supplies are available and stocked for the impending shift. 2. Assists with maintaining records of all bar-stock items. 5. Uses POS system to record cash/inventory transactions. At shift end, reconciles cash to orders taken. 6. Maintains and cleans all equipment. Cleans and secures station in accordance with established closing procedures. 7. Consistently complies with all state, local and Association laws/policies regarding the sale and disposition of alcoholic beverages. 8. Takes dinner and special event reservations. 9. Provides service to porch, and back of restaurant customers. 10. Other duties as specified by supervisor. Server Responsibilities: 1. Provide immediate attention to members/guests upon seating. 2. Take orders and report same to kitchen. Inform cook about any special cooking instructions or condiment requests. 3. Assemble prepared food and drink; serve at table (from left of the person). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Capable of working extended hours, to include weekends and holidays as necessary. 2. Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed. 3. Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities. 4. Position involves kneeling, stooping, bending, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 60 lbs. This can occur throughout the day. 5. This position will alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate and with proper lighting, to an outdoors setting with variable climate and lighting. 6. Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills. 7. Must be able to adapt to the climate with marked changes in temperature from the heat in the kitchen area to the cold of refrigerated areas. 8. Must be able to transport oneself throughout the plantation including but not limited to the golf pro shop, inn, and other community areas. Must have valid state driver's license. 9. Must be mentally alert and detail oriented with good reasoning skills. 10. Must have sufficient mathematical skills to accommodate cashier functions. ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and delays. We are seeking a sophisticated Bartender/Server to elevate the dining and beverage experience for our members and guests. Key Responsibilities: Expert Beverage Service: Craft and serve a selection of premium cocktails, wines, and beverages with precision and flair, ensuring each drink is a delightful experience. Stay current with wine and bar trends and South Carolina laws. Personalized Guest Interaction: Provide attentive and personalized service to our members and guests, anticipating their needs and creating a welcoming environment. Fine Dining Experience: Assist in serving food and beverages with elegance, maintaining a polished and professional demeanor throughout the dining experience. Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and a harmonious dining atmosphere. Other Responsibilities: Reports to work as indicated on schedule. Demonstrate and maintain thorough knowledge of Clubhouse Menu and daily specials. Accurately and efficiently enters orders in POS system. Maintains inventory of liquors, supplies, and beverages needed at bar and informs management when additional supplies are required. Ensures freshness and quality of fruits and juices. Arranges cups and bottles to maintain predetermined display. Maintains a clean and safe dining and work area at all times, in accordance with the Health Code regulations. Provides support to the kitchen and other FOH team members when necessary. Follows alcohol awareness safety standards. Communicates kindly, clearly, and efficiently with team members, receives information and feedback, takes action on observations and feedback received. Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures. Any other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Experience in Hospitality: Previous experience in a bartending and serving role within a fine dining or upscale environment is preferred. Professional Appearance: Maintain a well-groomed and polished appearance that reflects the standards of our community. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to engage with members and guests effectively. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring that every aspect of service meets our high standards. Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as our community thrives during these times. Physical Requirements: Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often up to 8 hours during shifts. Lifting and Carrying: Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly, including trays, supplies, and equipment. Bending and Reaching: Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to access supplies and equipment behind the bar or in the dining area. Manual Dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to efficiently handle bar tools and serve beverages. Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a busy environment, managing multiple tasks while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
