Role Overview:
Service Dispatcher coordinates and handles all service repair orders daily in the service department. The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating with other service department staff members such as technicians and ServiceAdvisors to ensure that repairs are completed within specific time frames. Prepares estimates when required (internal work).

Advises Parts and Service Managers of repetitive shortages so that corrective action can be taken.
Manage and optimize technician schedules to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations.
Maintain clear and effective communication between technicians and serviceAdvisors to provide updates on service repairs and to recommend solutions for any issues at hand.
Evaluate service requests and prioritize them based on urgency, customer requirements, and resource availability.
Accurately record and maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, technician availability and proper distribution of major services.
Address and resolve any challenges or conflicts that may arise during the dispatch process to ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Work closely with other departments, including customer service, sales, and technical support, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
Contribute to the overall success of the motor group by working with all teams and departments collaboratively and professionally with a positive attitude.

Education/Experience Requirements:
High school diploma and/or GED (General Education Degree) is required.

Employee must have attention to detail.
Employee must be able to read, write, understand and speak English.
