Usually, service agents don't need a college education. The most common degree for service agents is bachelor's degree with 36% graduates, with only 29% service agent graduates earning high school diploma. Service agents who decided to graduate from college often finish University of Phoenix or DeVry University. Some good skills to have in this position include regular maintenance, customer service and credit card.

Popular service agent certifications include Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), or International Accredited Business Accountant (IABA).
