Intake Specialist
The Intake Specialist has a broad range of responsibilities including accurate and timely data entry, understanding, and selecting inventory and services in key databases, communicating with referral sources, and appropriately utilizing technology to notate patient information/communication. Intake Specialist's schedules can vary based on the need of the branch.
The lead specialist serves as a subject matter expert, conducts new hire training and mentor to the team.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
Accurately enters referrals within allotted timeframe as established; meeting productivity and quality standards as established.
Communicates with referral sources, physician, or associated staff to ensure documentation is routed to appropriate physician for signature/completion.
Works with leadership to ensure appropriate inventory/services are provided.
Communicates with patients regarding their financial responsibility, collects payment and documents in patient record accordingly.

Responsible for reviewing medical records for non-sales assisted referrals to ensure compliance standards are met prior to a service being rendered.

Answers phone calls in a timely manner and assists caller.

Child Welfare Services (CWS) Care Coordinators are responsible for assessing client and children needs and strengths in support of family health and recovery. Through case management in individual and group settings, delivering curricula in accordance with program specific requirements, CWS Care Coordinators assist clients with children in navigating systems of care while providing a supportive
treatment environment.
Key Responsibilities
Individual Treatment Responsibilities: Facilitates individual case management sessions with each caseload client who is involved with Child Welfare Services or who has a child under the age of 6 and ensures that each mother and child is referred to Jumpstart program upon entering treatment. Treatment Setting Responsibilities: Reports to other referring agencies weekly. Performs crisis intervention and communicates with treatment team as unforeseen situations arise. What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)â¯
Bachelor's Degree and one year of experience providing housing services to clients or Associates Degree in social services field and three (3) years of experience providing housing related services to behavioral health clients or five (5) years of experience providing housing related services to behavioral health clients
Must understand and apply of Federal, State, and local housing rules and regulations
Knowledgeable of cultural and socio-economic factors that inform service provision to persons with behavioral health issues
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment

Job Overview:

Alpine Union School District Definition: Under the general supervision of the site principal and the Extended Student Services (ESS) Coordinator, supervises the activities of elementary school aged children enrolled in an extended student services (before and after school care) program.
Examples of Duties: Assists instructional personnel with the development and presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises. Selects and directs children's activities. Supervises classroom, playground and study trip activities. Reads to students, explains words and meanings, rephrases materials and provides similar learning examples. Assists in the development of a variety of instructional materials.Assists in the management and shaping of student behavior through the use of positive reinforcement strategies. Maintains discipline. Assists in yard duty assignments. Assists in maintaining a neat, orderly and attractive learning environment. Arranges equipment for instructional activities and operates audio-visual equipment. Attends inservice training as required. Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Guide:
Knowledge of English usage, punctuation, spelling and grammar; general concepts of child growth and development and child behavior characteristics; routine record keeping; basic arithmetical concepts; public education goals and objectives; basic first aid and CPR.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with students. Learn and utilize standard teaching aids and office machines. Perform routine clerical work and light typing. Learn and utilize basic methods and procedures to be followed in instructional settings. Demonstrate an understanding, patient, warm and receptive attitude toward children. Understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, students, parents and the general public.
Training and Experience:
One year of paid or volunteer experience working with children in an educational or child care setting is highly desirable; equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, preferably supplemented by courses in child care, supervision, psychology, or guidance and training in early childhood education; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.
