Responsibilities: Dispatch MEP field technicians to service calls, preventive maintenance visits, and emergency requests based on priority, location, and technician availability. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing timely updates on technician ETAs, job status, and follow-ups. Monitor and manage the daily service schedule to ensure maximum efficiency and responsiveness. Receive and process incoming service requests via phone, email, or work order systems. Coordinate with service managers and field technicians to ensure accurate job scoping and completion. Track open service orders, ensure proper documentation, and follow up on incomplete or pending work. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in dispatching software, including technician notes, job completion status, and parts used. Communicate delays, schedule changes, or job-site challenges to clients and internal teams as needed. Support invoicing and administrative teams by verifying service details and technician time logs. Assist with ordering or coordinating parts, materials, or subcontractors when necessary for scheduled service calls. Qualifications and Education: 2+ years of dispatching or coordination experience in a service-based MEP, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing environment. Strong customer service and communication skills- both written and verbal. Ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic, high-volume environment. Experience using dispatching or field service management software (e.g., BuildOps, Corrigo, or similar) is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional industry training or certifications are a plus. Familiarity with MEP systems and terminology is strongly preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Essential Duties * Coordinates and oversees ASGC and student life and engagement-related meetings, activities, events, trainings, and initiatives on campus and works to ensure they are diverse, equitable, and inclusive. * Serves as the primary ASGC and ICC resource person; provides appropriate oversight at ASGC and ICC meetings and sponsored events to ensure decision-making and activities are conducted fairly and equitably in alignment with college policies and procedures. * Advises and mentors students serving on college committees. * Supports the work of student government officials in representing students in campus student success programs and initiatives in collaboration with other departments. * Assists with training, supervision, and coordination of campus ambassadors, student leaders, student workers, club advisors, and peer mentors. * Coordinates student government retreats and trainings in collaboration with student government leadership; supervises students at conferences and other travel-related activities. * Supports the development and maintenance of the ASGC constitution, by-laws, and other governing documents. * Maintains historic records of events, proposals, and actions taken by the ASGC; assists the ASGC in preparing official meeting minutes. * Coordinates student elections in collaboration with ASGC. Student Life and Engagement Coordinator Page 2 * Works with the Business Office to process necessary paperwork for events and activities, including activity forms, vendor packets and contracts, and resolutions. * Monitors campus student clubs/organizations' budgets and processes necessary paperwork; guides students in monitoring revenue and expenses for ASGC accounts and special funds * Supports the development and maintenance of student government and club web pages; supports social media initiatives and updates. * In conjunction with students, coordinates and oversees student space, including ASGC offices, the student center, and a newly-identified ICC space for diverse groups to gather and grow. * Assists ASGC, clubs/organizations, and the campus community by providing culturally aware leadership training; diversity, equity, and inclusion training; and motivational activities. * Participates in college outreach and in-reach activities to promote the college, student life, support services, and basic needs. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Preferred * Master's degree in a relevant field such as higher education administration, law, human resources, counseling, or social work. * Certification or formal training in Title IX investigation civil rights adjudication. * Experience with both academic and employment discrimination or harassment matters. * Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) or compliance training software for monitoring and reporting purposes. Other Details Schedule Full-time (1.0 FTE) | 12 months | 40 hours per week Whitworth office hours are 8 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday Whitworth University is a Christian liberal arts university.
