Overview The reimagined Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort is reintroducing itself as The Sunny, a vibrant new hotel brand redefining the beachfront retreat in Miami's oceanfront enclave of Sunny Isles Beach. The property will offer 339 thoughtfully designed guest rooms, six distinct food and beverage outlets, a curated private art collection, a full-service spa, an oceanfront pool with tiki bar and fire pits, a beach club and 22,000+ square feet of flexible event space-including an oceanfront terrace with sweeping views of the Atlantic and the beloved Newport Fishing Pier. We're looking for a results-driven Director of Sales and Marketing to lead all sales efforts and help position The Sunny as the premier beachfront destination in the Miami area. This is a high-impact, revenue-focused role for a strategic seller who thrives in a fast-paced environment-someone who builds meaningful relationships, drives bookings across leisure, group, and event segments, and leads a high-performing team with clarity and enthusiasm. From growing our market presence to capturing demand across channels, you'll play a key role in shaping The Sunny's commercial success. Responsibilities Develop and implement integrated sales and marketing strategies that drive transient leisure business, group bookings, and event revenue. Actively sell across all segments, with a focus on leisure, group, and social event markets, using platforms like CVENT and CVB channels to attract new business. Build strong relationships with key clients, travel advisors, corporate accounts, and tourism partners. Represent the hotel at trade shows, on sales calls, and during in-market events to generate new business opportunities. Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation. Collaborate with revenue management, operations, and brand marketing to create compelling promotions and packages aligned with business goals. Drive awareness of the resort's rebrand, positioning it as a lifestyle destination with exclusive beachfront access in the highly desirable Sunny Isles Beach area. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to adjust strategies as needed. Manage department budget, forecasting, and ROI analysis to maximize profitability.
