POSITION SUMMARY
Install, maintain, and operate irrigation systems. Conduct inventory of tools, equipment, or materials to ensure that sufficient supplies are available, and items are in usable condition. Complete requests for irrigation parts and supplies. Record water usages from pumps and wells. Perform special golf course improvement projects, such as rebuilding bunkers and tees, or performing drainage installation. What you will do:
Six Flags Over Texas is looking for a dedicated, organized individual to join the Entertainment Technical Services Team. As an Entertainment Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with the load in and load out of various show products and equipment, running assigned tracks for stage productions and special events, assisting with the installation and maintenance of all sets, props, sound, lighting and video equipment as needed, and working closely with the Technical Services team and Production Staff on any technical services projects as assigned. This individual will also ensure the smooth and safe operation of the assigned shows and special events.
How you will do it:
Perform daily operational duties to assist the department in the running of assigned show tracks
Perform regular inspections of all scenic elements, audio and lighting systems, and special effects (fog machines)
Repair and correct any issues quickly and safely to ensure a safe guest and team experience
Assist the Technical Services team with new builds and repairs, load ins and load outs, system maintenance and other projects as assigned
Effectively communicate with Entertainment Technical Services Leadership on any issues or safety concerns as they arise
Operate various tools (including power tools), vehicles and equipment as assigned
Adhere to safe work practices and policies that promote a safe work culture for the department and park
Must be available to work weekends and all technical rehearsals, as assigned
Must be available to work extended hours during specific times of the year

Must have some experience in carpentry, construction, or set building as well as some sound and/ or lighting experience
Should be proficient in the use of hand tools and various construction equipment or be able to learn quickly
Should have a basic knowledge of digital audio and lighting signal flow and be willing to learn the specific equipment used for each show and special event
Strong motivated team player with a strong ability to multi-task
Strong, verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work on projects independently as well as with a team
Must ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, park policies, and regulations
Must be able to move or lift tools or equipment weighing up to 50lbs

Inspect, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and repair all types of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, lighting, fire, life, safety, boilers, refrigeration units, compressors, motors and pumps and all associated controls and provide facility maintenance services including carpentry, plumbing, painting, landscaping and snow removal to maintain client's building infrastructure and grounds.
Attend and/or participate in safety training per C&W SERVICES policy
Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, calibration, functional and operational testing of facility systems and equipment.
Utilize CMMS computer system to document tasks performed and maintain equipment histories including parts replaced, hours worked, time to respond, and time to complete.
Responsible for completing and data input for all assigned work orders (both corrective and PM) in a timely manner.
Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
Utilize and have a general understanding of national and local codes for equipment repair. Perform all work in accordance with OSHA, state and municipal requirements and C&W SERVICES safety policies.
Perform quality work and regularly communicate repair status of devices and systems to supervisor/Manager.
Must be able to work with informal and formal teams, with other employees and customer representatives from various departments demonstrating a professional demeanor at all times.
May be required to work with and coordinate activities of other vendors including specialists
Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervisor/Manager in response to the needs of the client
Perform daily survey of buildings to identify repair and preventive maintenance tasks.
Report to supervisor/Manager on a regular basis (daily/weekly) on conditions relative to general operations.
Responsible for participating, seeking and coordinating training and continued professional development in the areas of advancing technology, safety, and general skill improvement.
Available for ON CALL duty on nights, weekends and holidays to address emergencies

Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and or refrigeration.
Must be 18 years of age.
Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standard.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to work independently
Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot: an automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus.
Journeyman License and or CFESA certification not required but would be a plus.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and soft skills.
Good driving record
