Primary Job Function:
Review work instructions and perform work assignments to customer and company quality standards
Properly selects tools and supplies to be used at the work site
Read and comprehend all applicable safety policies and regulations including OSHA regulations and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Read, comprehend, and observe all applicable company operating rules and procedures
Attend company and outside schools to enhance technical education to meet job technical requirements and state and local licensing requirements
Assist in proper care and security of all company vehicles, tools, and materials consistent with company policy
Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies and parts in order

What You Will Do
Repair and maintain electrical equipment
Read and interpret electrical schematics to troubleshoot and install equipment
Take an active role in a quality maintenance program to reduce production waste and achieve production quality goals
Troubleshoot and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's)
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems such as relay logic, motor controls and AC/DC drives
Change out parts; repair or upgrade electrical equipment, relays, fuses, motor and/or wiring; and transfer work to the shop as necessary
Participate and perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure integrity of program and reliability of equipment
Maintain housekeeping standards
Complete daily work orders
Work in a loud/noisy, hot, humid and greasy environment
Work on machinery at various heights
Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
Work any shift, variable start times, overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Receive and complete work orders.
Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.
Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
Maintain inventory of company-owned tools, equipment, and materials.
Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
Work with various teams to complete projects.
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.
Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification: Valid Iowa Class A Journey Electricians License and valid Iowa driver's license
Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring and operating principles of motors
Knowledge of local electrical codes
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to perform mathematical calculations
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems Ability to use hand and power tools
Five years' experience in electrical field
Supervisory Responsibilities: Apprentice
Equipment Used:
Multimeter, ohmmeter, and testing equipment; soldering iron; wire puller; pipe bender and threader; hand and power tools (saw, drill, etc.); ladder. Light truck or van.

Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting, and carrying. Frequent travel within Iowa and surrounding states.
