Job Description:
The ServiceElectrician will work on commercial, residential, and industrial construction projects (both private and public works). Electricians must be able to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining the accuracy and quality of their work. This position requires high technical expertise, attention to detail and will oftentimes require troubleshooting of electrical problems in commercial/residential settings. Reports to Commercial Service Supervisor.
Job Duties:
Diagnose, analyze, and repair equipment to ensure product quality and optimal production.
Perform preventative and predictive electrical maintenance to maintain equipment integrity and runtime efficiency.
Install electrical conduit using various bends to get the conduit from point A to point B, including pulling and terminating wiring.
Participate in the upgrade of production lines with new equipment/technology.
Document of all work, planned and unplanned
Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Provide excellent customer service and display patience with various clients.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Job Requirements:
Must have high school education or equivalent
Flexible schedule (weekends, holidays, varying shift schedules)
Must have exceptional communication skills, Spanish preferred but not required
Journeyman Electrician Certification is preferred, but a candidate can substitute adequate experience for all, or portions of Journeyman Electrician Certification.
Experience with troubleshooting
Attention to detail under tight deadlines and heavy workloads.
Ability to work independently without much supervision
Proficient knowledge of electrical theory, the National Electrical Code, and local and state electric/ building codes required.
OSHA 10, scissor lift, reach lift, CPR, and first aid training is preferred.
Valid California driver's license and favorable DMV record.
Ability to adapt to different personalities and resolve conflict with unpleasant customers
Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements:

Job Requirements:
Must have high school education or equivalent
Flexible schedule (weekends, holidays, varying shift schedules)
Must have exceptional communication skills, Spanish preferred but not required
Journeyman Electrician Certification is preferred, but a candidate can substitute adequate experience for all, or portions of Journeyman Electrician Certification.
Experience with troubleshooting
Attention to detail under tight deadlines and heavy workloads.
Ability to work independently without much supervision
Proficient knowledge of electrical theory, the National Electrical Code, and local and state electric/ building codes required.
OSHA 10, scissor lift, reach lift, CPR, and first aid training is preferred.
Valid California drivers license and favorable DMV record.
Ability to adapt to different personalities and resolve conflict with unpleasant customers

Responsibilities
Maintenance
Performs maintenance in all areas of the plant on a scheduled or emergency basis:
Electrical repairs on motors, motor starters; running conduit and pulling wires for new installations
Building repairs and cleaning
Moves, sets, calibrates, as needed, controls such as knobs, valves, switches, levers, and index arms, on control panels to control process variables such as flows, temperatures, pressures, vacuum, time, and chemicals, by automatic regulation and remote control of processing units, such as heaters, coolers, compressors, exchangers, and other units.
Determines malfunctioning units by observing control instruments, such as meters and gauges or by automatic warning signals, such as lights and sounding of horns.

Qualifications
A high school diploma is required.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in electrical or instrumentation maintenance and repair.
Must have experience in pipe bending/wire pull/ termination.
Technical experience, working with sensors and instrumentation.
Previous or current enrollment in an Electrical Apprenticeship Program or certification as a general electrician preferred.
Arc-Flash PPE training preferred.
Experience with trouble shooting is a plus.
Skills
Ability to identify hazards and work proactively to mitigate risks.
Ability to use simple test equipment such as a DMM and an insulation tester for troubleshooting.
Ability to identify and anticipate electrical component failures.
Ability to read electrical drawings such as one-line diagrams, schematics and manuals.
