Examination Process
A civil service examination will be conducted in accordance with the Civil Service Rules of the city of Las Vegas. The examination for this recruitment will be a written examination, weighted 100%, and will be used to place candidates on the eligible list. The eligible list will remain in effect for a period of 6 months from the date of certification and may be extended for a period of up to 2 years. You must score 70% or higher on the examination to be placed on the eligible list.

Selection Process

Essential Functions:
* Constructs, installs, troubleshoots, inspects, repairs, replaces and maintains all wiring for city buildings, telecommunications conduit, and security and life safety systems. Brings any regulatory, specification or procedural infractions into compliance. Participates in the design and fabrication of control circuits.
* Operates a variety of circuit testing equipment, aerial lift equipment, pneumatic tools, trenchers, diggers, compressors, wire pulling devices, conduit bending equipment, small power tools, hand tools and related equipment.
* Reads and interprets blueprints, plans, schematic drawings and related symbols and markings.
* Assists in planning new electrical systems; estimates time, materials and equipment required for jobs assigned; researches and requisitions materials as required; maintains files and receipts; verifies manifests upon receipt and inspects materials delivered by vendors; moves materials into storage.
* Responds to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provides information within the area of assignment; resolves complaints in an efficient and timely manner.
* Adheres to all related codes, regulations, specifications and procedures for duties assigned including obtaining required permits. Adheres to safe work practices and procedures.
* Responds to electrical emergencies during evenings and weekends.
Marginal Functions:
* Locates, marks and outlines underground conduits and services for utilities in an excavation area.

Experience:
Two years of increasingly responsible journeyman electrical experience.
Training:
Equivalent to graduation from high school, supplemented by specialized training in the electrical fields.
License or Certificate:
Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license on the date of application, and maintenance thereafter.
On the date of application, must possess or have completed any one of the following four:
* A journeyman or master electrician card recognized by a trade union, such as the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), or by a local, state or national government agency.
* Successful completion of a nationally-recognized apprenticeship program from an organization such as a chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), or a union such as the IBEW, or an equivalent trade organization.
* Official mailed test results from the International Code Council indicating a passing score on the Standard Journeyman Electrician or Standard Master Electrician examination. Examination must have been taken within three years of the date of application. The Standard Journeyman Sign Electrician and the Standard Journeyman Residential Electrician examinations are not acceptable.
* A current Clark County, Nevada, Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician ID card.
Within 15 days of initial hire, provide documentation of completion of an OSHA-10 course in construction industry safety and health hazard recognition and prevention, developed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor.
As a condition of continued employment, employees must acquire and maintain a Nevada Electrical Card as a Master Electrician or Journeyman Electrician within 6 months of the date of appointment.
Possession of an Explosive Tool Use certificate within 6 months of the date of appointment, and maintenance thereafter.
Possession of a Forklift Certificate from the City of Las Vegas within 6 months of the date of appointment, and maintenance thereafter.
Possession of an appropriate aerial lift certification from the City of Las Vegas within 6 months of the date of appointment, and maintenance thereafter.

Use industry related hand tools and power tools.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, etc. and install wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems and other wire raceway systems.
Feed to, pull into, and terminate wire and cable within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, switches, etc.
Splice and terminate wires at junction points.
Troubleshoot equipment electrical systems and control circuits and build control panels from drawings.
Prepare sketches and schematic diagrams showing the location of wiring and electrical systems.
Delegate tasks and assist with training other employees.
Communicate effectively with Foremen and crew members.
Maintain workflow schedule to ensure all Bergelectric Corp. productivity objectives are met.

POSITION SUMMARY: To perform electrical and instrumentation inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding all plant operating equipment (Allen Bradley) to ensure continuous operation within the required quality control standards. RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
Comply with company, state and governmental health and safety regulations at all times.
Complete and document Workplace Inspections in a timely manner.
Be able to perform preventive maintenance checks and report findings (both verbally and in writing).
Participate in the work order initiation process when required.
Ensure all inventory parts are correctly charged from Stores as per LNA procedures.
Possess a good knowledge of power distribution systems.
Be well versed in the installation, maintenance, and adjustment of transformers.
Perform low voltage and high voltage terminations.

The Medora Musical and Gospel Brunch are two cornerstone productions of the summer entertainment season in Medora, North Dakota, presented by the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation and produced by RWS Global.
The Medora Musical is a live, family-friendly, outdoor musical variety show that celebrates the spirit of the American West, the legacy of Theodore Roosevelt, and the rugged beauty of the Badlands. Performed nightly in the stunning Burning Hills Amphitheatre, the show features a professional cast of singers, dancers, and musicians, along with live horses, and fireworks. The show runs from early June through early September, drawing thousands of guests from across the country.
The Gospel Brunch is a joyful morning tradition hosted at the Town Square Show Hall, where a full Southern-style brunch is served alongside an uplifting, high-energy gospel concert. Featuring inspiring vocalists and a live band, the brunch highlights Medora's spirit of hospitality and community, with performances rooted in faith, hope, and tradition.
Both productions emphasize professionalism, creativity, and guest experience. Position Overview:
The Master Electrician is responsible for executing and maintaining the lighting design for both the Medora Musical and the Gospel Brunch. This includes oversight of all lighting systems, power distribution, equipment maintenance, and the supervision of lighting crew members during load-in, tech, performances, and strike. The Master Electrician is also responsible for curating all follow spot cue sheets in collaboration with the lighting designer and calling follow spot cues during performances. The ideal candidate is a highly organized leader with strong technical knowledge and a passion for live entertainment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the lighting designer to implement and maintain the lighting design for both productions
Coordinate lighting hang, focus, and strike in accordance with the production schedule
Oversee lighting equipment inventory, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting
Program and maintain lighting consoles and networked lighting systems (ETC preferred)
Manage and lead the lighting crew during load-ins, tech rehearsals, performances, and strikes
Create and maintain follow spot cue sheets in coordination with the lighting designer
Call follow spot cues during performances for the duration of the season
Ensure all lighting and electrical systems are installed safely and in compliance with NEC, OSHA, and venue-specific safety guidelines
Maintain updated paperwork including light plots, channel hookups, and dimmer schedules

Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Vocational or technical training - Field of Study: welding, engineering, rigging, carpentry, electronics, audio, construction, electrician. The knowledge needed for this position are often not found in traditional college educations. Technical theatre education will be the closest thing, but so would any education in audio, lighting, electronics, rigging, welding, carpentry, design, 3D modeling software. It's a myriad of technical skills that makes this a helpful education.
EXPERIENCE:
2 to 3 years of experience in the technical entertainment field
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver's license required. OSHA and similar construction safety certification(s) helpful.

Ensure that inspections, drawings and documentations for the annual facilities permit from the building department are maintained.
Ensure we are always using the proper safety equipment when working with, in or around electrical and the use of tools.

What you will do
Under general supervision, performs installation and checkout on a variety of systems utilizing codes, company procedures, engineering drawings and personal analysis. Works with "Prime" electrical contractors as required. Develops a positive interface with the customer to ensure confidence and satisfaction with the system installation.
How you will do it
Installs raceways, cables and wiring to meet local or national codes, standards and customer system requirements. Lays out electrical controls installation to provide lowest total installed cost.
Mounts and terminates control equipment as needed.
May assist sales with electrical estimates, including walking retrofit projects.
Determines and validates final termination points to equipment interfaced with the installed system (i.e. chillers, boilers, rooftop units, etc.).
Checks out wiring and terminations of field-installed equipment with test instruments as needed (i.e. volt meters, hand-held testers, etc.).
Keeps management informed of job needs, progress, and issues.
Completes paperwork, including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. Provides feedback to JCI Engineering on changes and keeps as-built drawings current.
Resolve job site conflicts regarding installation issues or escalate concerns to management as required.
Communicate with the customer as necessary upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
Adheres to Johnson Controls safety programs and policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience in electrical installation techniques.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret drawings.
Possesses working knowledge of local codes as it apply to controls.
Experienced in scope determination of installation materials. Able to work independently.
Able to do overnight travel.
Preferred
Experience with control installations.

We are seeking a Full Time, hourly Master Electrician to join our team at Tuscany Suites and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The Lead Electrician oversees and performs skilled electrical work, which involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. In addition, they provide guidance and direction to other electricians and apprentices.

Proven experience as a Lead Electrician
Valid electrician license
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that all national electrical codes are followed for the State of Nevada.
Ensure that once a year electrical panels have preventive maintenance done on them. To include cleaning, checking for hotspots, maintaining the panel schedule and testing shunt switches, kitchen hood fire suppression systems and elevator shunt switches with the Clark County Fire Department or Building Department.
Ensure all emergency lighting is tested and in working order per the national fire prevention code and local building codes.
Ensure that interior and exterior light are checked for outages or repairs. For the following: building, light poles, signs, landscape ground lights, stairwells, offices, hotel room, all public areas and equipment.
Ensure that we are constantly working towards being energy efficient.
Ensure that we follow OSHA requirements for safety is followed when working by one's self or around other employees and our guest using our public areas.
Ensure that inspections, drawings and documentations for the annual facilities permit from the building department are maintained.
Ensure we are always using the proper safety equipment when working with, in or around electrical and the use of tools.
Ensure that good stocks of electrical parts are on hand for projects or any necessary repairs get done in a timely manner.
Ensure the emergency generator is run once a month for 15 minutes to determine it is in proper working order. Preventative maintenance should be done if any at this time.
Ensure a journeyman or master electricians card is maintained.
Ensure that after work is completed clean up the area.
Ensure to maintain MSDS sheets for any liquids, chemicals or powder that might be used in the electrical department.
Ensure that minimal loss of efficiency is analyze for the repairs or projects that parts or tools needed are taken all at the same time to do the job. Than tools are returned to its rightful place.
Ensure that the Tuscany Hotel and Casino employee handbook is followed in its entirety.
Ensure that at times you will be required to step outside this job description and do other job duties assigned by management.
Ensure that a purchase order is written for every part or supply needed after the approval of Director of Facilities.
Ensure that the daily or weekly check list is followed in its entirety.
Perform other duties assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required. Good communication skills, ability to perform in a fast paced environment. Minimum of 2 years experience, preferably from a hotel. Able to work any shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime as needed. Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to secondhand smoke and high noise levels.
