Essential Functions Inspects, tests, and repairs electric motors and other electrical and mechanical devices Installs motor controls, pump motors, street lights, heaters, exhaust fans, main feeders, conduits, breakers, switchgear Maintains high and low pressure steam boilers Maintains and repairs drive units, fuel pumps, air compressors, lump breakers, grinders, scum pumps, off-gas systems, fuel oil tanks, multi-hearth incinerators and pumps Replaces chains, bearings, sprockets, augers, shafts, grease lines and flights Lubricates and paints plant equipment; performs general plumbing and replaces malfunctioning pumps Repairs and maintains water softener systems, cranes, boiler feed pumps, centrifuges, air dryers, re-aeration tanks and pneumatic controls Repairs bar screens and conveyors and replaces couplings Assists Electrical/Mechanical Technician in the repair of transformers, high voltage power supplies, and other equipment Drives a vehicle to conduct WSSC Water business

You perform basic troubleshooting with guidance from experienced teammates, read blueprints, and ensure all work meets code and safety standards. You stay organized by uploading clean after photos and detailed notes to document your work. And through it all, you communicate clearly with your supervisors or Level 2 Installers to ensure the project stays on schedule and on point./span/p
