Job Duties:
* Perform preventive and predictive electrical maintenance, electrical apparatus repairs, and installations by using hand and powered tools used to assemble, test, and install electrical panels and conduit, and precision instruments such as VOM and amp meters.
* Demonstrate ability to effectively use test equipment to perform preventive and predictive inspections in order to prevent downtime.
* Perform inspections at scheduled intervals, record and keep the test data in an orderly manner, and initiate work orders for remedial repairs.
* Recommend equipment for replacement in order to improve machine running time.
* Diagnose electrical and instrumentation problems and determine the best method of repair.
* Change out of faulty components and fabricate new parts as required.
* Overhaul motors, motor control panels, and other electrical equipment.
* Repair/replace electrical and electronic components in equipment as needed. Be familiar with and perform all work to the latest NEC and local building code standards.
* Assist with the procedures to keep wiring diagrams accurate and up to date. Work from wiring diagrams, sketches, written specifications and verbal instructions to implement installation and troubleshoot problems. Work closely with production supervision to prevent equipment breakdowns, and in scheduling repairs.
* Provide direction to production and/or other maintenance personnel assigned to assist with remedial repairs and inspections. Work with limited supervision. Maintain clean and safe working area. Observe safety precautions and plant regulations in order to prevent injury to self and others or damage to equipment and materials.
* Know and observe published safety rules and department procedures to obtain and use motorized vehicles. Perform other duties as requested or required. Supervised by the Maintenance Department Supervisor.

Position Overview:
Ameresco's Operations & Maintenance Group has an opportunity for an Electrician in the Macon, Georgia area experienced with inspecting, troubleshooting and maintaining commercial or utility solar facilities.
Pay rate for the position will be $34-$53 per hour.
Responsibilities:
Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public.
Reads and interprets instruction manuals, blueprints and control system drawings; applies knowledge to daily tasks under the supervision of the Lead Electrician.
Completes written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed.
Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect; and install, remove and maintain solar site equipment such as solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment.
Supervise and train apprentice electricians/coworkers to teach proper, safe use of tools and maintenance procedures.
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience in lieu of diploma.
Minimum of 2 years experience of industrial solar electric/electronic maintenance experience in the repair, inspection, testing, installation and/or maintenance of related electrical/electronic equipment.
Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by state of residence.
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of electricity, voltage and current relationships for both AC and DC circuits.
Knowledge of Solar PV a plus.
Ability to successfully complete position training and testing requirements.

+ Provide technical assistance and support in electrical maintenance, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and hands-on repairs.
+ Installs and maintains low-voltage (480/277, 600 volts) and below (50/60 HZ) single and multi-phase power wiring.
+ Installs feeder and branch circuits including conduit, service wire, fuse and breaker panels, switches, outlets, junction and outlet boxes, lighting fixtures, splices, connectors, and ground wiring for red and black installations.
+ Ensures that the material used, and workmanship meets the requirements of the applicable technical and safety standards.
+ Provide detailed reports on equipment's failures maintenance requirements and lifecycle replacements.
+ Respond to service calls and preventive maintenance inspections orally or in writing through computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) regarding malfunctioning/inoperable equipment
+ Use US Army quality assurance procedures to ensure that the material used, and workmanship meet the requirements of the applicable DoD and military specifications, criteria, procedures, and technical/safety standards.
+ Provide electrical design input to engineering installation plans and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).
+ Provide 24-hour 7-day quick reaction technical support to mission critical equipment.
+ Performs power quality measurements on the commercial and technical power of the facility and plans actions for correction of any deficiencies.
+ Supports US Army systems on site whenever and wherever deployed.
+ Available to deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reaction technical support to US forces worldwide military contingency missions and requirements in potentially hazardous work environments.
**Qualifications:**
+ College, Vocational School, or High School diploma or equivalent and a combination of 10 years' education.
+ Experience leading to licensure as a Master Electrician, or equivalent licensure or certification at a State level; or 12 years' experience in an equivalent Military Electrician training/certification.
+ Able to maneuver in small spaces and lift 50lbs.
+ Knowledge of Safe Work practices especially regarding energized work, working at heights and confined spaces per OSHA regulations.
+ Subject matter expertise level familiarity with provisions and applications of the National Electric Code and ability to select and install domestic and foreign materials and devices under the NEC.
+ Command of fluent English, including the ability to read, write, and comprehend technical documentation, schematics, and diagrams written under the ANSI standards.
+ Ability to liaise with Directorate of Public Works and BASOPS to coordinate maintenance and repairs preformed to standard.
+ US Citizen with an active TS/SCI is required. A CI Poly may be required for this position.

Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment. Including but not limited to the following: rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, sand blast hoods, fire resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; work at heights; balance for extended periods of time.
