Hydraulic, steam and electrical systems a) Pneumatic systems: i) Shut-off valves, pressure regulator, pressure gauge, lubricators, hose coupling, and the hose. ii) Safety rules and lock-out procedures for pneumatic systems b) Steam systems and high speed rotating equipment i) Maintenance of steam valves, pressure reducing valves, condensate traps, etc. ii) Safety rules and lock-out procedures for steam systems. c) Electrical systems: i) Basic elements of electricity (resistance, current and voltage), circuit protection devices (fuses, circuit breakers, etc.), properties of insulation and conductors, switched, solenoids and relays ii) Safety rules and lock-out procedures for electrical systems 6) Gas weld (oxyacetylene and torch brazing) and arc weld (stick (shielded metal-arc), MIG (metal inert gas), and TIG (tungsten inert gas) as well as oxyacetylene cutting torch. a) Arc welding i) Proper use and safety of the arc welding outfit. What You'll Be Doing: Install all electrical segments in such equipment as gas mixers, burners, de-ionized water units, air compressors, plant air circulation systems, cooling and heating units, ultra sonic cleaners, waxers and plant lighting. Troubleshoot, adjust and repairs all electrical equipment, solid state circuits, circuit boards, components, logic boards, transducers, amplifiers, and complex timing and inspection devices. Perform preventative maintenance on assigned electrical systems and equipment. Identify inefficiencies and potential electrical problems and coordinate through supervisor to resolve. Program logic controls (PLC) for proper equipment operation. May assist in the design, experimentation, and/or installation of all new plant equipment or electrical production procedures. This position is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of all instruments, control systems and electrical equipment in the plant. What you'll bring: * Degree from an accredited Industrial Electrical, Instrument or Technician program and a minimum of 4 years work electrical experience or Journeyman Card Electrician status performing Instrumentation and Electrical duties in a manufacturing, Industrial environment. * Thorough understanding in 3 phase power and its distribution * Thorough understanding of 120vac circuits and pneumatic controls with ability to repair. * Able to troubleshoot and repair relay circuits. * Clear understanding of the N.E.C (National Electric Code) * Able to layout and bend conduit accurately and to N.E.C specifications * Able to do basic load calculations. * Complete tasks such as installation of motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting fixtures and controls, testing electrical & power circuits and any other electrical devices. * Determine proper size and specifications of wire, conduit, switches, panels, fuse, ect. * Inspect motors, switches, junction boxes, switch panels, circuit breakers, transformers, fuse panels, lighting, heating, power circuits and any other electrical devices. * Work safely using PPE (personal protective equipment) and LOTO (lock out tag out). * Trained in ARC flash safety and risk avoidance. * Able to read, understand and troubleshoot using electrical schematics and ladder logic. * Flexibility.
