Ability to interact with supervisors, staff, vendors, co-workers and the public using a positive, collaborative approach. Ability to problem solve and engage necessary staff/supervisors to address facility issues. Initiative and ability to work with minimal direction or monitoring; sound judgment and decision making capabilities are essential. Ability to coordinate, organize, schedule and assign work when necessary. Ability to perform well under stress and meet deadlines. Ability to perform all requirements of a preventive maintenance technician. Numerical ability required to make proper calculations. Routinely handles loads weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally handles loads weighing up to 100 pounds or more, using appropriate equipment and/or lifting techniques. Walks and stands most of the day. Stooping and climbing as required. Must be able to work at heights. Requires near-visual acuity and good color vision to inspect and approve repair and maintenance, read blueprints, building code manuals, and other documents. Works both inside and outside.
