Perform electrical maintenance, trouble shoot, and solve electrical problems for AC/DC drive controllers, electro-mechanical equipment, AC/DC controls and web transport systems. Location: Charter Wire - 7850 N. 81st Street, Milwaukee, WI 53222
Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Monday-Friday family of companies.

What You'll Do:
As an Electromechanical Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery. You'll work with both mechanical and electrical systems across high-speed stamping presses, cold forming machines, and automated equipment in a dynamic production environment.
Maintain and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment using hand tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure equipment reliability
Diagnose and resolve issues using technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and manuals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement
Follow safety protocols and use appropriate PPE
Support process improvements and participate in ongoing training
What You'll Need:
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience or technical degree in a related field or journeyman's card.
Proficiency in reading complex electrical schematics and code books
Broad knowledge of electrical codes, electronic controls, and electrical theory
Experience with line setups, inspections, and electrical testing equipment
Strong math skills (fractions, percentages)
Nice to Haves:
Experience with PLCs and drives (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
Familiarity with AC/DC motors, HVAC, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
Experience with welding/torch equipment and precision measuring tools
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to keep learning
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing and walking
Occasional sitting, reaching, forceful motion, and lifting up to 60 lbs
Minimal climbing and lifting over 100 lbs

JOB OVERVIEW
As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in all electrical work related to our manufacturing processes. This includes bending conduit, pulling wire, working with control circuitry, and interpreting electrical blueprints. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in commercial and industrial construction electrical work, exhibiting precision, efficiency, and a commitment to safety always.
ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)
Pull wire and terminate devices such as receptacles, switches, motors, and other electrical components.
Work with panel boards, transformers, and distribution equipment in accordance with industry standards.
Execute duties typical of a Commercial/Industrial Construction Electrician, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Prioritize and plan work activities effectively, managing time efficiently to meet project objectives.
Demonstrate teamwork by collaborating effectively with colleagues, offering assistance, and responding positively to feedback.
Adhere to safe manufacturing and material handling practices to maintain a secure work environment.
Fulfill additional job duties assigned by the company, remaining flexible and adaptable to changing needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Working knowledge of NEC electrical codes and proficient conduit bending skills.
Experience with panel boards, transformers, and distribution equipment preferred.
State journeymen or Masters license is a plus.
2-3 years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical work preferred.
Medium voltage and electronics experience is advantageous.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with fabrication or machining
Ability to read and interpret drawings accurately
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does no have leadership/supervisory responsibilities.
