Responsible for providing day to day clinical, case management, and administrative supervision of Foster Family Service Care Coordinators. Responsible for ensuring the agency’s chart documentation complies with state licensing, federal, and accreditation standards. Ensures effective collaboration within and between services/programs and with external partners. Ensures continuous availability of supervision, consultation, and support of program staff. Participates as a member of the multi-disciplinary team including active participation in staff meetings, conferences, consultations, in-service training, supervision, and evaluation. Performs managerial duties such as interviewing applicants for employment, assigning and reviewing progress on assignments, managing, and evaluating the performance of the Foster Family Services staff. This position does have direct reports Essential FunctionsSupervisory: 30%Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Childhelp’s cultural values and performance principles, company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: Actively participating in the interviewing and hiring processes and ensuring successful functional on-boarding of new employees Oversees training process for direct reports Planning, assigning and directing work for direct reports Setting reasonable stretch performance goals, providing constructive, balanced, regular performance feedback, and conducting annual performance appraisals Recognizing and rewarding performance excellence Communicating and enforcing company policies and programs Applying corrective action, addressing complaints and resolving problems in a timely fashion, involving and collaborating with leadership and Human Resources as appropriate Functional/Operational: 70%Ensures quality care is provided to the children and families while adhering to and enforcing federal and state licensing regulations Ensures compliance from all Care Coordinators in the execution of their duties and responsibilities. Conducts weekly rounds and/or special staffing to include all treatment team members to discuss case conceptualization, to review treatment/service plan goals, to discuss problems or obstacles to progress, to exchange ideas for intervention strategies, to provide clinical training, to provide continuing education activities, and to assist with difficult or problem families/cases as needed Coordinates effective collection and analysis of program data from a variety of sources Assists Director in reviewing and approving all Children placements Completes reviews of Master Treatment Plans on a regular basis and makes comments or suggestions as appropriate Develops and maintains professional working relationships with all necessary community agencies and services in order to fully implement the Treatment PlanAccess and coordinate all services available in order to fully implement the Treatment PlanReviews all documentation and prepares evaluation of the information in both written and oral forms to the individual Care CoordinatorsProvides training and in-service education to foster parents and in-house staff depending on expertise In supervising a program that utilizes a specific implementation model, assures compliance with all requirements of the model including training, interventions, and data reporting Consistently exercises sound, independent judgment and adequate emotional stability in evaluating situations and making decisions despite the pressures of deadlines or the occurrence of unexpected stressful events Carries out other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the program RequirementsEducation/Experience/Knowledge/UnderstandingMaster’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent in social work, marriage and family therapy, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology, or social psychology Minimum of three (3) years of full-time social work or casework employment in the fieldof family or child welfare services; or two (2) years of full-time social work or casework employment in a licensed foster family or adoption agency Must have a working knowledge of treatment plan development and implementation including charting and progress notes and related documentation skills Must maintain current certificate in First Aid and CPR along with maintaining on-going continuing education hours as required by program definition SkillsExcellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills to include communicating clearly, effectively, tactfully, and patiently to a diverse population Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanor with the ability to build rapport and garner trust with others Strong attention to detail, organizational, planning and time management skills Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in high-pressure situations Proficient in the use of a PC; in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel AbilitiesAbility to pass fingerprint background screening through the Department of Justice, FBI and Child Abuse IndexAbility to understand and solve problems by applying intermediate analytical skills to include collecting all the relevant information and data needed to address the problem; organizing, classifying and synthesizing the data into fundamental issues; from the information, identifying the most probable causes of the problem; reducing the information down into manageable components; identifying the logical outcomes from the analyses of the data collected; and, identifying the options and solutions for addressing the problems analyzed. Should be able to run a distance of 400 meters in 2 minutes or less. Must be able to perceive the attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature and/or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of the fingertips.
