What You Will Do:
Supervises the day-to-day operations of VNS Health Plans Medical Management clinical and non clinical staff. Makes recommendations to the development, utilization, and evaluation of internal processes to ensure customer satisfaction, efficient operations, and accurate and timely resolution for all complaints and issues.
Monitors workflow procedures and systems for an efficient and timely operation that is responsive to customers (members, discharge planners, VNS Health employees, physicians, families, etc.) and operational needs. Troubleshoots difficult customer service issues, facilitates problem resolution and directs staff in addressing and resolving day-to-day operational issues.
Assists management team in the development of long- and short- range objectives for department, which includes system and operational rollouts and coordination of non clinical support functions to facilitate effective clinical operations.
Provides input to the Education and and Quality department regarding training needs for new initiatives. Participates in the overall planning, implementation and evaluation of such programs.
Works with management to develop and implement strategies and actions to improve the quality of the team's performance, which includes participation in workflow reengineering, process improvement, risk mitigation and computer application development activities.
Ensures adherence to regulatory and VNS Health Plans standards to ensure compliant operations and department's readiness for internal and external audits.
Oversees business operations, workflows, utilization and schedules; contributes to systems design and implementation; and participates in developing standards to measure, maintain and maximize efficiencies and meet operational needs.
Performs all duties inherent in a supervisory role. Ensures effective staff training, interviews candidates for employment, evaluates staff performance, and recommends hiring, promotions, salary actions, and terminations as appropriate.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications:
License and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other health related degree for RNs required
Work Experience:
Minimum three years progressive customer service or business operations experience, preferably in a health care environment. The Claims Supervisor, Operations will oversee a unit of operations associates in the Woodbridge and Mount Laurel claim departments. The unit handles a variety of claim related functions including, but not limited to data entry, rental claim handling, salvage processing, subrogation assistance and switchboard functions. In addition, this role also has responsibilities with regards to claim system applications including testing, quality assurance and production support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and monitor unit goals for service, production and work quality.
Plan unit workflow and monitor assignment of tasks to unit members based on complexity, severity, and volume.
Perform Quality Assurance reviews on associates work product to identify trends, provide direction and feedback.
Provide management with monthly analysis of quality trends and performance of claims associates.
Conduct individual and group training on all aspects of the job.
Conduct performance reviews and counseling sessions, write performance appraisals and monitor attendance.
Make recommendations for promotions, staff changes, and salary.
Must be willing to travel to the other claim locations (Mt Laurel and/or Horsham). At least twice a month and more if needed.
Perform user acceptance testing for technology projects and following monthly production releases which may occur on Friday evenings or on weekends. (May alternate availability with other team members.)
Handle special projects/assignments as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
Five or more years of related claims experience across multiple lines of business required.

Develop among the assigned team members a consciousness of the need for teamwork to attain departmental and Sims Metal Management (SMM) goals and objectives.
Support and carry out the management philosophy and vision.
Conducts meetings (i.e. safety and quality) and is responsible for communicating policies and regulations to subordinate personnel.
In case of an emergency, direct team members to their assigned safe area.

oversees the food safety and nutritional care aspects of the Food and Nutrition Services Department to ensure full compliance with federal, state and other regulatory agencies. Ensures the efficiency of food prepared in the department taking into consideration food safety, nutritional adequacy and appropriate patient nutritional care responsible for the development and enforcement of policies and procedures that direct clinical services, food preparation, distribution and service, purchasing, sanitation, safety practices, performance improvement, and staff education and development.
Education and Work Experience
Registered Dietitian (RD) required.
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Food & Nutrition or related field or relevant experience.
Two (2) years experience in the fields of nutrition and food service management desirable.
Food Safety Certification from an accredited organization and maintain current.

Summary
The Contact Center Team Lead supports the Customer Care Manager in overseeing daily contact center operations while providing frontline leadership to agents. This role plays a key part in quality assurance, coaching, training, and operational support, with preferred experience handling supply orders and service calls.
