We are seeking a hands-on Production Equipment Technician to maintain and support high-speed production equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum equipment availability, reliability, and performance through corrective and preventive maintenance.
The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills, experience with production or insertion equipment, and the ability to interpret technical manuals and service bulletins to resolve equipment issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on all production equipment
Troubleshoot and repair high-speed production machinery to minimize downtime
Maintain equipment used in archival storage and retrieval systems, including file-based servers (where applicable)
Read and interpret technical service bulletins, manuals, and schematics
Develop effective troubleshooting plans for mechanical and electrical issues
Ensure equipment operates at optimal performance and reliability
Document maintenance activities and follow standard operating procedures
Support continuous improvement and equipment uptime initiatives
Work Schedule
Choose one of the following 12-hour day shifts:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Alternate Wednesday | 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
OR
Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Alternate Wednesday | 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on experience in production equipment repair and maintenance
High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational education preferred)
Proven ability to repair high-speed production equipment
Vendor or equipment repair certification preferred (e.g., insertion platforms such as Blue Crest, Bowe, Buhrs), but not required
Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills

The ServiceTechnician is responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while performing on-site diagnostic, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of gate and door systems.
Required Education and Experience:
Overhead door, CCTV, gate operator, electrical or welding experience a must at least 2-3 years' experience.
Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School diploma and 3 or more years working with gate operators, electronic controls, or other low-voltage electrical systems, or similar trade-related experience. Associates degree or vocational program with a focus on electro-mechanical systems preferred.
Familiarity with basic welding principles is preferred.
Must have at least 2-3 years of installation/service field-related experience working on-site at customer locations and interacting with customers.
OSHA 10-Hour Certification preferred.
Must hold a valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle report
Electrical or Welding experience a PLUS

Ensures device operates as intended and as desired by the customer. Closes out the call in Service Titan. Documents the scope of work completed and identifies any other malfunctioning customer equipment or opportunities for additional work.
Manages truck inventory and partners with support team to order or purchase specialized equipment, missing parts, and other components and tools.

What You Bring to the Table:

Within 6 months, Helpers will be expected to obtain. an ICC Service Tech/ UT, Vapor Testing and Repair/ VT, Vapor Installation/ VI, SJVAPCD Vapor Testing for San Joaquin Valley, SCAQMD Testing for South Coast, Veeder Root ATG, and corresponding certifications.
Experience performing compliance testing or inspections on petroleum storage and dispensing systems.
Familiarity with EPA UST/AST regulations, SPCC plans, and related environmental compliance programs.
Worked with or around fuel system components, such as tank monitors (e.g., Veeder-Root), sensors, sumps, and leak detection systems.
Knowledge of or certification in compliance testing procedures, such as SIR (Statistical Inventory Reconciliation), pressure testing, or cathodic protection evaluation.
Prior experience preparing regulatory documentation and test reports for internal records or government submission.
Comfortable using compliance testing equipment, including line testers, pressure gauges, conductivity meters, or LLD test kits.
Background in fieldwork or site visits, often requiring independent scheduling and time management.
