GENERAL FUNCTION --
The Journeyman Millwright acts as millwright for the construction and maintenance the sheet machine, pilers, depilers, converting line, autoclaves, and all other plant machinery and equipment. We currently start at $33.00/hr, and higher depending on experience. We offer a $1.20/hr shift differential for Night Shift, which start at $34.20/hr.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES –
Must be able to complete any mechanical repairs needed for all plant machinery.
Must know how to trouble-shoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and air operated equipment.
Must work overtime and work shift schedules as needed (week ends, holidays, etc.).
Must be able to weld, gas, stick, TIG, MIG, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum carbon steel, hard facing, air arcing.
Must use good judgment as to safety procedures.
Must be responsible for the parts used and parts inventory.
Must be able to change and properly fit all types of bearings and sprockets (slip fit, press fit, shrink fit)
Must have drafting skills to the level of reading and making blue prints.
Must have completed a four-year apprenticeship and have a State of Oregon Journeyman Millwright card.
Must be able to fabricate parts and equipment from blue prints, sketches and verbal instructions.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must occasionally lift or move items over 50 pounds. Requires lifting, moving, operating equipment, and physical exertion with fairly heavy materials/tools.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours vary depending on the shift and department. Overtime and weekend work is required at times. Vacation coverage as needed.
Required Education and Experience
1. Requires the ability to use basic shop mathematics; handbook formulas; to interpret simple blueprints or drawings, use a wide variety of tools or precision measuring instruments; may setup, re-tool, operate a somewhat complex machine.
2. Electrical and pneumatic trouble shoots and repairs.
3. Inventory control.
4. Strong Communication skills in English.
5. Preventative and predictive Maintenance.
6. Computer proficiency.
7. Lock out-tag out and industrial safety.
8. High school diploma or GED
9. CDL class A license
10. Tank endorsement
11. 3-6 months tractor trailer driving experience
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Demonstrated technical aptitude and strong experience with fluid mechanics, refrigeration (ammonia systems), heat transfer process, building/plant construction and new equipment installation with sanitary design of USDA/3A sanitary design principles, OSHA, EPA and related regulations, industrial best practices engineering principles.
2. Knowledge of PLC systems.

Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the upkeep and service of various types of heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including specialized equipment. Your work will help keep our equipment rolling and ensure that our drivers are safe while out on the road. This type of work includes, but is not limited to: basic repairs, electrical services, oil changes, brakes, and air lines.
Your job as a Maintenance Mechanic:
Learn the requirements needed in order to service and maintain our mechanical parts
Have an understanding of the various parts that make the truck/trailer function
Keep up to date with the type of equipment that needs to be serviced (i.e., tractors, trailers, etc.)
Know and understand your individual goals, the department goals, and the company goals
Monday-Friday and weekend shifts are available
