Job Duties
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.
Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
Maintain a service van and its inventory.
Process paperwork after completion of each job.
Minimum Qualifications
Less than 2 years related experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
Preferred Qualifications
Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.
Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder and various types of testing equipment.
Industry related training is preferred
Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow-through

Role Description

Pay: Varying from $20-40 hourly based on level of experience

Responsibilities:
· Utilize troubleshooting skills to install, repair, and maintain commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
· Collaborate with customers to provide effective service solutions for their equipment, including gas, electric, and steam systems.
· Order and install replacement parts in customer equipment, coordinating with the parts department.
· Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call duties.

Qualifications:
Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standards.
Two years of relevant experience, education, or military experience preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude, including electronics, steam, gas, and refrigeration.
Refrigeration technicians must be EPA certified.
CFESA Certification is a plus but not required.
Must be highly safety-conscious.
Moderate to heavy lifting and carrying (up to 75 pounds).
Requires frequent walking, standing, driving, sitting, squatting, kneeling, reaching overhead, bending, twisting, and turning.
Must be able to use hands for fine manipulation of hand tools.

Responsibilities - Master Technician:
Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air-conditioning, etc.
Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers, providing an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs
Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to keep up with rapidly changing technology.
Input all vehicle recommendations and complete check sheet in MPI.
Find pricing and availability of needed parts in the 'notes' section in MPI.
Report any damaged or defective equipment to management.
Report any safety issues to management and ensure a clean
working area.
Complete all required training.
Qualifications/Requirements - Master Technician:
At least 3 years of Mercedes-Benz Service Technician experience strongly preferred
Must be Mercedes-Benz factory trained and certified
Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competency
Must be a team player and enjoy working in a dynamic environment
Must be a persistent problem-solver
Must have the ability to learn new technology repair and service procedures and specifications
High School Diploma or GED
ASE Certification is a plus.
High level of motivation and demonstrated ability to learn and succeed.
Proven track record.
Strong record of positive CSI results.
Valid driver's license with good driving record.
