Can work varied overtime, as needed by customer, be available for "on call" as part of the service office rotation and be able to travel and work out of town, on occasion.
Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. although not on a daily basis. About the role:
Lumafield designs, manufactures, installs and services the world's first accessible X-ray CT scanner. Lumafield's product is a complex hardware-software system. We collaborate to deliver an incredible experience for our customers.
You will perform installation and maintenance on Lumafield scanners at customer sites. When you are not in the field, you will help maintain our tradeshow fleet and work with engineering on our in-house scanner fleets.
You will work with engineers to troubleshoot, tune and calibrate production systems. You will help refine SOPs to increase safety, improve quality and increase efficiency. The ability to troubleshoot a problem and track down the root cause of the issue is important.
What you'll do:
Uncrating, commissioning and calibrating Lumafield scanners
Perform preventative and repair maintenance at customer sites
Frequent travel to customer sites within the US and Canada (75%)
Create, update, maintain training materials and safety guidelines
About you:
Are a well-rounded technical thinker with experience in computer, electrical, mechanical systems including sensors, and actuators
Comfortable using common hand tools (e.g. drill, torque wrench, etc.)
Are meticulous and pay attention to detail in your work
Can comfortably and professionally interact with customers and suppliers
Ability to follow a written procedure and identify deviations or problems
Strong verbal communication skills to describe situations and issues to teammates who may be remotely supporting you
Strong written communication skills for writing service reports
Enjoy collaborating within and across teams
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Bonus points for:
Machine shop skills (drill press, lathe, Bridgeport, etc.)
Ability to troubleshoot computer, electrical, and mechanical issues
IT skills
Linux proficiency
Enjoy working within a customer facing environment

Salary: $70,000 - $95,000 a year
The base salary range listed here represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. All full time employees receive an equity grant.

This individual will be an essential member of EDAP's Focal One support team.
This is a full time, salaried position requiring approximately 50-60% overnight, expense paid, travel each week. The position may require more than the normal 40-hour work week, including weekends. Product training of 1-2 weeks in our Austin, TX offices will consist of clinical, diagnostic, and hands-on operation of EDAP's equipment.

Essential Qualifications, Functions and Responsibilities
5+ years of field service experience, with an extensive knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting required.
Past experience with medical devices and IT connections in medical facilities is a plus.
Responsible for the installation and continuous service of all products EDAP manufactures, sells and/or distributes in the US market.
Establishes and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional support while servicing the products.
Completes all remedial service actions, standard system checks, and required hardware and software upgrades in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
Maintain a good customer service reputation by complying with all regulatory requirements.
Ensures quality system requirements are met & maintained.
Reports and documents ALL service issues and repairs made.
Reports and documents ALL faults observed to establish failure trends.
Provides feedback to the VP of Service and Applications concerning product performance anomalies encountered in the field and suggests recommendations for service improvements.
