Job Duties
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.
Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
Maintain a service van and its inventory.
Process paperwork after completion of each job.
Minimum Qualifications
Less than 2 years related experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
Preferred Qualifications
Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.

Apprentice Level (Level I) - best for candidates who have a passion for learning and a willingness to train. Experience working in any related field is a plus, but most importantly an understanding of mechanics and the ability to fix a variety of products is needed.
Service Professional Level (Level II) - this is the sweet spot for anyone who has at least a year of experience in a related field and knowledge of the basic concepts of electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting. What You'll Do

* Apprentice Level (Level I) - best for candidates who have a passion for learning and a willingness to train. Experience working in any related field is a plus, but most importantly an understanding of mechanics and the ability to fix a variety of products is needed.

The Flex Surgical Equipment Technician I uses technical and mechanical skills to repair surgical medical equipment/instruments within an assigned Modality.

What You Will Do in This Role
Inspect, evaluate, and test equipment.
Disassemble and assemble equipment and instruments and repair as needed, including the removal and/or replacement of defective parts.
Document all services & testing performed, including all parts needed.
Maintain work area in good condition and to meet Visual Work Place (VWP) Standards
Handle timecard & time off entry, review and submission
Perform other tasks as assigned or needed.
What You Will Need for This Role
High school diploma/GED
1-2 years of experience with repairs.
The ability to sit, stand, lift, bend and stoop often.
The ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
The ability to use computer devices and systems as needed.
The ability to use grinding wheels, soldering irons, sand blasters, Dremel style tools, torches, microscopes, small precision hand tools, magnification tools, tweezers, micro screw drivers, digital calipers and test equipment that require hand-eye coordination.
Flexibility in work schedule to meet department needs.
The ability to handle and assemble small parts.
The ability to repair identified basic equipment models and maintain modality/department standards.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Repair valves, control valves, on/off valves and pneumatic actuators in FCX actuation facility or customer plant locations.
Mechanically and electrically troubleshoot, inspect, and test valves at specified job worksites. Primary worksites include FCX valve repair centers with occasional customer in-field work sites.
Perform pre-testing, disassembly, cleaning, in process inspection, machining, assembly, testing, and final inspection on various types of valves and actuation.
Complete field service worksheets and submit to job coordinator upon completion of work.
Understanding of pneumatic and digital controls.
Ability and knowledge to reference appropriate valve manuals for repair requirements.
Exhibit an ability to effectively communicate with plant personnel regarding valve and instrumentation equipment and customer requirements.
Obtain all site specific and safety related training to perform valve repair services.
Maintain driver eligibility and regular preventative maintenance on company owned vehicle.
Assist others as required.
Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.

Essential Physical Functions/Equipment Used:
Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 75lbs.
Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, and ladders .
Must be able to, or possess ability to learn how to, operate large warehouse equipment; namely forklifts.
Must be able to work off hours, weekends, and OT on a short notice basis based on business needs. Includes overnight travel to various locations and customer sites to provide service based on business needs.
Knowledge of rigging, lifting and moving heavy and awkward products.
Duties performed indoors & outdoors with exposure to weather, elements, heavy equipment, power tools, dirt and noise.
Preferred Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associates Degree/Technical Degree preferred.
1-3 years previous control valve experience desired; experience with hydraulics/pneumatics helpful but not required.
Basic computer proficiency required, namely the ability to operate Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of required equipment, including hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, etc.
Clean driving record.
Work Environment:
Standard warehouse environment; including machine shop, paint booth, equipment operation, shipping & receiving, inventory area. Customer facilities will include indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to all potential weather elements, factories, and others.
