The "B" Level ServiceTechnician has the responsibility of understanding and completing routine repairs necessary for the repair of customer vehicles. This individual will perform general repairs and diagnosis with some assistance. These repairs include but are not limited to light engine work, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, electrical systems (starters and alternators) HVAC systems, steering & suspension systems. This individual will have a majority of their manufacture certifications.
Make accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle
Document all work performed and recommended on assigned repair order
Communicate with service advisor when additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Asbury standards
Conduct road test to determine work needed and to confirm work was successfully completed when necessary and practical
Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles
Perform all levels of preventive/routine maintenance services
Utilize product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management
Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and schools to continuously expand your knowledge of new technology
Maintain manufacturer (CSI) Customer Satisfaction Index at or above the Asbury specified goal(s) in service for district, regional and national scores
Complete the work, notations and time-keeping necessary to the successful completion of warranty repair orders and the filing of warranty claims
Report to management any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its customers or employees
Take care to ensure that customer's vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced
Understand and complete required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
Comply with all federal, state and local laws, as well as company policy, regarding safeguarding all customer vehicles, property and information
ASE certifications heavily preferred
Manufacturer certifications heavily preferred
Previous automotive technician experience required
Must have basic tools
Must have great technical and mechanical skills
Must be a team player and have the ability to work repetitively on complex tasks
Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test)

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in carrying out the maintenance processes of the property, including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance. Our client, a well-established HVAC Building Controls Provider, is currently seeking a Night Shift Controls Installation Technician for their Reisterstown, MD location focused on Building Automation Systems (BAS) Direct Digital Controls (DDC). This is a small to mid-sized company that is large enough to offer consistent business opportunities, yet small enough to be family oriented.
The Night Shift Controls Installation Technician will work night shift with the basic understanding of electrical principles, low-voltage control systems, electrical and jobsite safety to support the installation of building automation and control systems under close supervision. The Night Shift Controls Installation Technician will learn the fundamentals of conduit layout and installation, control wiring, device mounting, and system start-up.
Responsibilities:
Arrive at jobsite on time every day
Assist in the installation of BAS/ DDC systems, including sensors, actuators, controllers, and network wiring
Pull, label, and prepare cables for final terminations
Mount control panels and field devices as directed
Perform basic system checkout tasks and report discrepancies
Maintain a clean and organized work area; ensure safety compliance
Assist with device calibration and functional testing
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical trade school preferred)
Electrical construction knowledge/experience
Basic understanding of electrical and jobsite safety
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
Ability to read and interpret simple wiring diagrams and blueprints
Ability and willingness to work off-hour shift and overtime
Night shift is 6pm to 4am
Willingness to work in, or outdoors even in unfavorable condition
Compensation:
Base salary in the 18.00 - 23.00/hour range
Added 15%-night shift differential

The contractor will be responsible for the proper repair and maintenance for a large fleet of forklifts and related equipment of various brands (predominately Raymond). The forklift fleet consists of a variety of electric, gas-, and diesel-powered units designed for interior and exterior building use. The contractor shall be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive maintenance schedule, obtaining approval for the schedule from appropriate government focal points, and adhering to the schedule in order to ensure all forklift units are mechanically ready for use and safe to operate. The contractor shall manage a spare parts inventory and make all levels of repairs when necessary. The contractor will also be responsible for repairing and maintaining pallet jacks and carts.
Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities
Schedules, prioritizes, inspects, and repairs forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts
Determines, within prescribed value range, when a major component/ assembly is to be repaired, rebuilt, replaced or discarded
Responsible for assisting with the purchasing of parts and services
Required to maintain fleet and training vehicles; and prepares written estimates on cost and labor time for corrective repairs.
Interacts with customers to keep them informed of status of vehicles, repairs needed, etc.
Based on assignment, independently performs corrective maintenance and repairs to the fleet. Informs government focal point if a task cannot be safely performed alone.
Inspects, diagnoses and isolates vehicle and equipment malfunctions; troubleshoots, traces and locates defects and/or causes of mechanical problems to determine type and extent of necessary repairs.
Repairs all assigned forklifts and equipment to ensure they are safe and dependable.
Inspects and tests equipment for mechanical defects, and replaces worn parts.
Removes, replaces, adjusts, or cleans defective parts or components
Perform oil changes, check fluids, diagnose tread wear, charge and repair batteries and trouble-shoot problems.
Inspects/replaces hydraulic lines/hoses as needed.
Ensure braking and electrical systems are optimal.
Utilizes appropriate techniques and procedures in accordance with manufacturer's specification
Identifies necessary parts, equipment and supplies needed to complete repair or preventative check.
Road tests vehicles during and occasionally upon completion of maintenance/repair work.
Responds to emails and telephone calls.
Performs other related duties as required or as directed by Supervisor regarding forklift and equipment maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of the operating systems used in forklifts and associated hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Extensive knowledge of the practices and tools used in the maintenance and diagnostics of forklifts and equipment.
Considerable knowledge of computer, electrical, transistorized and other non-mechanical systems and how they tie-in with and affect the operation of mechanical systems.
Considerable knowledge of the full range of tools, equipment, test procedures and practices used in the repair and preventative maintenance of forklifts.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Experience diagnosing complex mechanical and related malfunctions.
Expertise in reading technical manuals, references and specifications and service and recall bulletins.
Written communication skills necessary to write routine correspondences, maintenance logs and order forms.
Expertise in how to operate a forklift, power tools, wrenches, diagnostic equipment, and jacks.
Working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Access and Microsoft Office Suite.
Adaptability to prioritize and schedule multiple work requirements.
Flexibility in work schedule.
Representational skills necessary to interact with outside vendors.
Working knowledge of diesel, gas, and electric mechanics.
Experience welding simple parts.
Work Environment
The work is usually performed inside on concrete surfaces where there is exposure to drafts, noise, and fumes from vehicles. Forklift technician - Senior occasionally perform work outside under adverse weather conditions. They are continually exposed to dirt, dust, and grease, and to the potential for burns, chemical irritations, shocks, bruises, cuts, and strains. To reduce dangers and irritations from these conditions, they follow prescribed safety practices and use safety equipment such as safety shoes and glasses, and respirators.

Certified in the safe operation of forklifts by the Sponsor within 30-days of commencing work and every 24-months as required.
Certified maintenance on Raymond brand forklifts.
Other pertinent forklift maintenance certifications.
