Overview

Basic Duties
Provide exceptional service to our customers by performing maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on allied type construction and lift truck equipment.

Establish and maintain service-oriented working relationship with customers.
Plan and execute the repair of various pieces of rental equipment.
Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
Complete service reports and all other paperwork before and after repairs are made

Qualifications
Successful completion of a formal technical training program preferred or a minimum of 2 years of previous related work experience required.
Previous experience working on electric, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, drivetrain, brake systems, etc. and possess troubleshooting skills.
Automotive and Industrial Maintenance Technicians encouraged to apply.
Computer literate and proficient with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook required. Knowledge of Cat software preferred.
Must take initiative, be team oriented and willing to adapt to change.
Ability to write professional business communication when sending emails, letters, notes, and documenting is required.

Install fiber optic cables in various environments (underground, aerial, indoor).
Execute OTDR/OLTS testing to assess cable performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve live network fiber issues.
Produce FastReporter reports for test and splicing documentation.
Operate Fujikura splicers and EXFO testers for low-loss splices and diagnostics.

Support cabinet bolting and basket tray installation (preferred).

Work Schedule and Environment:
Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, adapting to project requirements.

Experience and Education:
5+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry with related experience in construction and tower work.

3+ years of hands-on experience using Fujikura fusion splicing machines for high-count fiber splicing (864ct, 1728ct, 3456ct).

Performs a variety of duties with a primary focus on splicing fiber optic cable.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Splices and tests copper and fiber optic cable.
Assists where necessary with contractors working near buried facilities.
Proficient in using fusion splicers and test equipment for troubleshooting purposes.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as maps, staking sheets, and operating and maintenance instruction manuals.
Ability to pay close attention to detail, and to work independently and make sound technical decisions using information at hand.
Completes administrative paperwork and forms on a timely basis as directed.
Ability to continuously read, write, analyze, and speak with clarity as needed.

Purpose
Independently performs complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager or Location Manager/Store Lead.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology
Mentors ServiceTechnician Trainees and ServiceTechnicians
Conducts or supports customer clinics
Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field as required
Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders
Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submittal of information
May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
