Responsibilities
As a local ServiceTechnician, you will play a vital role in installing and repairing propane tanks for our customers while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom along provided service routes
Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
On an as-needed basis, perform Delivery Representative functions, such as delivering bulk or canister propane
Perform all daily functions in a safe manner by adhering to all federal and state codes and regulations in addition to all AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures
Consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment
Depending on fluctuating needs, work 8 to 12-hour shifts
Requirements
All ServiceTechnicians should have a valid class A or B CDL. Must be willing to obtain hazmat and tanker endorsements; reimbursements provided

The Technician - ERC Shop Service 2 is responsible for work on beginning stages of cold drink equipment repair on the Equipment Refurbishment Center (ERC) service line.

Responsible for performing periodic maintenance, repair, replacement and troubleshooting on various models of Hyster-Yale forklifts and equipment and competitive material handling equipment. Includes various fuel systems, drivetrains, electrical systems and hydraulic systems.
Experienced technicians will assist with training/mentoring apprentice technicians through on-the-job training.
Follows all safety procedures in performing work as well as company policies

What We're Looking For
2+ years of experience in the material handling industry - or related experience in automotive, diesel, military, or heavy equipment mechanics
Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems
Ability to work independently in the field
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Strong customer service mindset and positive attitude
Experience with ServiceMax or similar computerized maintenance/work order management systems preferred
Lead with a safety-first mindset, following all company and customer safety protocols to protect yourself, your team, and the equipment you service.
