**Position Summary**
The Automotive Technician plays a pivotal role within our automotive service team. As a vital member, you learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. Pay Range: $15.75 - $23.67
Our technicians enjoy a performance-based compensation model known as flat-rate pay. These rates reflect average productivity by region.
**Responsibilities**
+ Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
+ Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
+ Install batteries and check electrical systems.
+ Perform tire maintenance.
+ Install parts.
+ Road test vehicles.
+ Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least one of A1 - A8 within first two years of employment (Tests and registrations fees are paid for by company pass or fail. Technicians receive bonus for each test passed)
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
+ Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
+ Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including:
+ Oil changes
+ Basic inspections
+ Repairing tires
+ Reading, writing, and math skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 2 years of automotive repair experience, completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or demonstrated skills via third party certificates/assessment.
+ A.S.E certification or equivalent external qualifications or training certifications.

Perform skilled infrastructure/structured cabling work in the installation, service and maintenance, repair and alteration of low voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling, communications cabling and other various low voltage cabling systems. Complete physical installations and removal of structured cabling components, cabinets, pathway systems (cable tray), move equipment, racks, and related communications infrastructure materials.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
· Perform installation and service of low voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling, communications cabling, communication equipment and other various low voltage related systems such as Category 3, Category 5, Enhanced Category 5, Category 6 and Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution Systems.
· Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot cabling infrastructure systems and perform repairs as necessary.
· Perform upgrades and additions to cabling infrastructure systems in order to increase functionality and usability.
- Manage work tickets according to customer SLA's using Service Now ticketing system.
- Must have basic computer skills such as Microsoft 365, WebEx, putty, wireshark

Summary/Objective
This position is advancing through the ServiceTechnician department adding more responsibility while the employee gains additional knowledge both job specific and our industry as well. Here the employee usually begins with 2-3 years of ServiceTechnician experience. Employees at this level have a greater level of confidence and fundamental awareness of the problems and solutions to ensure the proper repairs are performed in a timely manner.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment, building comfort, energy efficiency, and related problems for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Monitors HVAC systems and general operations. Ensures that routine preventive maintenance is performed according to established schedules. Checks, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes and other functional components of the system. Present options and pricing to customers. Complete approved repairs/improvements in a timely manner. Collects payment for work performed. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Essential Functions
Troubleshoot HVAC/R equipment, building comfort, energy efficiency, and related problems
Present findings and options to customers, providing advise as needed/requested
Complete approved repairs, improvements, or installations within industry standard hours per repair pricing guide
Clean equipment/work area
Ensure complete customer satisfaction upon completion of work
Complete all paperwork required by management
Collect payment for work performed
Maintain truck inventory
Keep assigned service vehicle organized and clean
Track vehicle maintenance and alert management when maintenance is necessary
Consult tablet following the completion of each call, providing requested information regarding the work completed, and receiving dispatch instructions for the next call
Provide customers with information and pricing on service agreements, accessories, and other comfort improvements
Create a quote to repair and service equipment. Provide customers with information on new equipment when repairs exceed $300 and/or on a major component existing equipment exceeds 10 years of age; if it is over 10 years old, must contact Supervisor to discuss further action plan.
Perform equipment installations if needed
Perform maintenance work if needed
Identify and suggest opportunities for quality and cost improvements

Work Environment
The work environment noise level is usually moderate but will vary occasionally. The work environment will subject employees to continual interruptions and changing priorities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme temperatures, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. During busy season hours will increase. This includes late evenings, weekends on call or a scheduled basis.
Travel
Constant daily travel around North Florida and South Georgia is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
Ability to troubleshoot and provide repairs at the servicetechnician level.
Preferred Education and Experience
High school education or GED.
NATE certification preferred.
Two or more years of experience as an HVAC installation, maintenance, or servicetechnician.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
EPA certified
Ability to follow controls/wiring schematic
Ability to braze/solder/weld
Other Duties
Must be in possession of a legal Driver's License and maintain a safe driving record.
Clean driving and criminal records as required by state laws for home service companies and by company insurance carrier(s).
Must be courteous and respectful to customers and coworkers.
Must be respectful of company property and follow safe handling procedures for large items.
Maintain a neat, clean appearance representing the company in a positive way.
