Calibrate and balance systems for energy efficiency and comfort. Customer Service & Communication Explain system issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations to customers. Provide accurate cost and time estimates for repair or installation. Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with clients. Compliance & Safety Follow safety protocols when handling refrigerants, chemicals, and electrical components. Maintain EPA certification and adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations. Keep accurate service records, work orders, and compliance documentation. Teamwork & Continuous Improvement Collaborate with other technicians and contractors on complex installations or repairs. Stay updated on new HVAC technologies and best practices. Participate in ongoing training and certification programs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred. EPA Section 608 certification required. 2+ years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Working Conditions Work performed indoors and outdoors, sometimes in confined spaces, attics, or rooftops. May require lifting heavy equipment and working in varying weather conditions. On-call availability for emergency repairs may be required.
