Job Summary
The Field ServiceTechnician is responsible for performing field and in-house service work for customers, the installation and set-up of new machines, and ensuring customer satisfaction by performing high quality work in a timely manner. Service work includes installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, computer, and industrial systems and controls of mechanical equipment located in production settings.
Essential Duties
Install, maintain, and repair electro-mechanical equipment.
Travel to customer locations throughout North America to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs to electro-mechanical equipment.
Prepare and test all equipment before equipment is shipped to customers to ensure proper functioning and operation.
Load and unload equipment at Volm and customer facilities.
Train customers and operators on proper use of equipment sold and serviced by Volm Companies.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment utilizing technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostics tools, visually and by sound.
Conduct phone service support on an “on-call” basis.
Document all installation and service work performed in a timely manner including expense reports, service reports, time sheets, etc.
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Required Skills and Abilities
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid US passport or passport card preferred.
Developed understanding and use of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, including PLC and VFD controls.
Ability to accurately read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic drawings, schematics, and diagrams.

Education and Experience
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a technical certificate or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
Established experience working with material and resource planning systems, spreadsheets, word processing documents, customer management databases, and other applicable computer systems and data management software preferred.
Established experience in electro-mechanical principles, systems, and repair preferred.
Journeyman electrician license preferred.
Established experience building and maintaining strong customer service relationships preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods of time.
Capability to lift and carry objects of various weights, ranging from light office supplies to heavy machinery components.
Proficiency in using hands, fingers, and arms for tasks such as typing, writing, operating machinery, assembling products, etc.

Travel Requirements
This is a field-based role that requires frequent overnight travel, up to 75% of the time.
Driver Qualification

Complete safety program training, including but not limited to: Ammonia systems safety, Lock Out Tag Out, Hazmat, Confined Space Entry, Hot Works, PIT, SDS/Chemical Safety, NFPA 70E, etc.
RMP/PSM program, including system configuration, site evacuation, emergency contacts and procedures.
Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and recognize similarities and difference.

The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role ensures that systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards. The technician also provides diagnostic services, preventive maintenance, and customer support to residential and/or commercial clients. Key Responsibilities Installation & Setup
Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, wiring, piping, and thermostats.
Perform start-up testing and adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
Verify installations meet manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and local codes.
Maintenance & Repair
Conduct preventive maintenance checks on HVAC systems.
Diagnose system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
Replace defective parts such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, and filters.
Calibrate and balance systems for energy efficiency and comfort.
Customer Service & Communication
Explain system issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations to customers.
Provide accurate cost and time estimates for repair or installation.
Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with clients.
Compliance & Safety
Follow safety protocols when handling refrigerants, chemicals, and electrical components.
Maintain EPA certification and adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations.
Keep accurate service records, work orders, and compliance documentation.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with other technicians and contractors on complex installations or repairs.
Stay updated on new HVAC technologies and best practices.
Participate in ongoing training and certification programs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
EPA Section 608 certification required.
2+ years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Working Conditions
Work performed indoors and outdoors, sometimes in confined spaces, attics, or rooftops.
May require lifting heavy equipment and working in varying weather conditions.
On-call availability for emergency repairs may be required.

What Will You Do?Job Purpose Statement
To ensure proper maintenance of all facility and restaurant equipment and train operational personnel on proper use and maintenance of equipment. Trouble-shoot, repair, and/or replace equipment, store systems, and/or perform other repairs necessary with designated company guidelines. Observe, evaluate, and determine the need to subcontract for repairs and/or replace equipment based on time and cost effectiveness.
Job Functions
Repair all equipment and prescribed physical facility items in a timely and high quality manner according to company standards, policies, and procedures. Repairs include but are not limited to restaurant and commercial cooking equipment, ice/beverage equipment, refrigeration equipment, building control systems, exhaust and fresh air systems, drive-thru audio systems, HVAC systems, minor electrical systems and circuits, minor plumbing systems including hot water heaters, and minor building repairs.
Maintain and account for truck stock inventory, including the accurate charging and billing of items used for repairs.
Maintain, account for and secure all tools, equipment, supplies, and materials on-site, purchased, ordered, replaced, or discarded.
Respond and assist as needed in staffing shortages, new equipment rollouts, emergencies, natural disasters, training, etc., outside of assigned region.
Complete all administrative requirements of the position in a timely and accurate manner. Use lap top and/or hand held computer to log in calls, time, and nature of repair at each designated site. Enter ongoing data into lap top/hand held computer regarding location and repairs anticipated, completed, ongoing, parts purchase and time arrived, on-site, and completed.
Inspect, maintain, and perform daily maintenance on company van to assure proper running condition to respond to calls quickly with minimum interruption 24/7.
Alert Senior Service Tech of any service repairs needing assistance, technically, mechanically, and physically. Use house or cell phones to communicate with Senior Service Tech as needed.
Consistently exhibit the actions/behaviors which best demonstrate BNE's Vision and Values; perform other tasks as directed by management; and always represent Boddie-Noell Enterprises, Inc. as a professional in every aspect of teamwork and performance.

Medical Equipment Technician
Medical Equipment Technicians are responsible for ensuring safe delivery, providing setup, and education in usage of home medical equipment for our customers. Setup is done in their home, long-term care setting, clinic or any location deemed necessary to service patients.
Job Duties:
Develop and maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company and all
applicable governmental regulations.
Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures.
Educate customers in proper use and care of respiratory and HME equipment in a home setting.
