As a Field Service Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing forklifts, industrial equipment, dock systems, and overhead doors. Key Responsibilities * Maintain a fleet of lift trucks, scissor lifts, pallet riders, and other lift equipment. * Maintain and repair service dock equipment and overhead doors. * Perform repairs and maintenance on forklifts, diesel and gas engines, LP systems, motors, and hydraulic equipment. * Perform service calls and preventive maintenance inspections on customer equipment. * Diagnose and repair equipment as needed. * Dismantle machinery to access defective parts. * Collaborate with the parts department to obtain correct parts and technical information. * Accurately complete electronic work orders, timecards, and supporting documentation. * Operate forklifts and related equipment as needed. * Maintain a service vehicle and manage truck inventory. * Assist with installation and service of other material handling equipment as needed. * Follow all safety standards and OSHA regulations. * Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience Required: * High school diploma or GED. * Lift truck mechanic experience or background in industrial, heavy equipment, or automotive mechanics preferred. * Strong mechanical aptitude-willing to train the right person. * Proficiency with internal combustion engines, mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic repairs. * Ability to read codes, instructions, and electrical/hydraulic schematics. * Welding and fabrication skills. * Ability to work efficiently with others and independently after training. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Positive attitude and attention to detail. * Valid driver's license with a good driving record (CDL preferred). * Must meet DOT requirements when operating company vehicles. * Ability to pass background and drug screening. * U.S. work authorization. Additional Requirements: * Ability to maintain work areas and service vehicles in clean and orderly condition. * Willingness to travel when necessary and work occasional overtime. * Quick comprehension, flexibility, punctuality, and ability to follow directions. * Strong customer service mindset to build and maintain professional relationships.
