ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY Senior Plant Maintenance - Lift Station Technician Doshier Farm Wastewater Treatment Plant Nature Of The Work WC - 7580 wastewater ⬢⬢⬢ Brief Description The purpose of this position is to maintain and repair Brazos River Authority (BRA) Lift Station and Pump Station facilities, equipment, projects, and grounds. This is accomplished by inspecting equipment, documenting findings, performing preventative and corrective maintenance; maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding pumps, motors, blowers, and plumbing; monitoring and documenting functions; repairing malfunctions or breakdowns on the facility equipment; and performing general and preventative maintenance on BRA buildings and grounds. Other responsibilities include maintaining, repairing, servicing, installing, and operating mechanical equipment; fabricating equipment; inspecting alarms and lights, documenting findings; performing grounds maintenance at facilities; ordering supplies; assisting with general administrative functions; and performing any other duties as assigned. ⬢⬢⬢ Job Requirements Minimum four years' experience or equivalent education Valid Texas Class C Driver's License and Good Driving Record Approved Hazmat training is required within six months of hire Must be able to obtain a Class D Wastewater License for wastewater treatment plants within six months of hire Preferred: Class C Wastewater License for wastewater treatment plants or Collection License ⬢⬢⬢ Key Competencies Ensuring that work accomplished is accurate in all relevant aspects. Utilizes physical labor to assist in water and wastewater line repair, replacement and installation, excavation, traffic control, etc. Operates heavy equipment and specialty equipment associated with the maintenance, repair, and installation of water and sewer projects. Follows all safety policies. Provides a variety of skilled and non-skilled work that varies with career ladder. Manages materials and crew members in the absence of a crew leader. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Repairs water and wastewater lines; cleans and inspects pipes; installs repair parts and evaluates effectiveness of repair. Installs water and wastewater infrastructure including, but not limited to, mains, services, and laterals; taps and meters; valves; manholes; air relief valves; fire hydrants; cleanouts, etc. Assists in excavation; operates air hammer to break rock and asphalt; uses pick and shovel to remove dirt and rock from excavations; uses probe to locate pipes. Cleans wastewater lines; uses hand and / or machine rods to unclog or clean mains & laterals. Performs line locates of water and wastewater infrastructure in accordance with Texas One Call laws. Cleans & maintains tools and equipment. Drives various trucks, primarily dump trucks, to haul material related to the repair and installation of water and wastewater infrastructure. Loads, unloads, and operates dump trucks and other heavy equipment. Installs traffic control in strict accordance with state and federal manuals of traffic control devices. Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned. What you'll do… We are looking to hire a detailed-oriented, driven, and resourceful Microgrid Mechanical Technician to assume responsibilities for multiple Microgrid generators. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of performing maintenance on power generation equipment, electrical experience as a plus. The entry-level Microgrid Mechanical Technician will coordinate with Area Managers to ensure generators are maintained, serviced, and operate for customer requirements for on demand electricity. This is a remote field position and will report to the Area Manager.
