RESPONSIBILITIES • Guides and directs a team of technicians involved in activities related to network monitoring, operations, installation, and/or maintenance for local off-site and/or remote locations. • Instructs, directs, and checks the work of telecommunications technician personnel. • Works with an individual business unit on multi-project assignments. • Monitors project's progress and results. Errors may cause significant delay, expense, and disruption. QUALIFICATIONS Telecom Technician 1: 0-2 years' related experience. Experience in network and telecommunications applications required. Basic knowledge of all areas of telecommunications. Ability to work on telecommunications systems and equipment. Ability to analyze trouble reports and perform maintenance of telecommunications equipment. Strong aptitude for technical understanding. Skills to communicate with various departments, internal groups, and external customer groups to perform work. Has awareness of customer requirements, with emphasis on major initiatives. Ability to set priorities and demonstrate timely and effective response to customer and team member needs. Understanding of business unit methods and processes within the realm of responsibility.
